Joan is a funny and crazy person! I love her personality and she makes you want to learn more! I found her helpful and encouraging when discussing class projects and essays. All around she is a fantastic woman who really knows who she is.

Joan has the class set up in a unique fashion and has great course material BUT she cannot teach anything for her life. Her teaching method requires no thought and is very shallow. I felt like I was in ninth grade english again. Great if you want an easy mark-- terrible if you want an education.

Joan does not know English at all. She is a creative writer, NOT an instructor. Frequently gives wrong information, and is extremely unclear in what she expects of students. She uses material that she has not previewed before class and is very boring. Steer clear.

Joan is a really sweet lady who has her student's best interest in mind. She's extremely nice and personable and willing to help, and she really knows her stuff. She gives very good tips for writing and does well with getting class discussions going. I always found her class interesting. Great prof.
