I have had her before for psych and she was great, which is why I was excited when I saw she was teaching stats. Huge mistake! Still a very sweet woman, she assigns so much work making this class really pretty difficult. If you miss one day you are pretty much screwed. She gets kind of annoying with how much she tries to cutesey everything too.

There were a lot of people in the class, and despite being a lecture course, she was able to make it interesting to a point. The course was definitely duller than other Psych courses that I have taken, but Joann's personality made up for it. However, she tended to focus on only a select few people during class.

Very nice woman and keeps class relatively interesting. Has great methods such as correcting tests. But, it's much safer to take notes and study from those instead of looking in the book, you'll get conflicting answers on the tests, which are pretty hard by the way. The work kind of piled on towards the end of the semester, but overall i enjoyed

As far as Psychology teachers go Joann is not bad. She presents her course material in an somewhat tradtional, but intersting way. Is very approachable and willing to answer questions

The exams in this class aren't very hard at all if you pay attention in class about 70 percent of the time. Frequently she will word questions that if you have the ability to dicern word origins and meanings, you'll do fine. I barely payed attention in class, ang glossed the book, but aced the exam.

I hated this class and the teacher. She was so boring my eyes nearly bled in class. Her exams were difficult, poorly worded, and misleading. People like her for the most part, because she isn't evil, but that doesn't make her good.

pretty easy. exams are semi-difficult but self-correcting for extra-credit. take-home final. lots of movie examples. you don't have to attend every class or do the reading. do the assignments and you'll be fine. nice teacher.

Lecture formatted classes are usually boring, but somehow, Joanne managed to keep it engaging. And that's saying alot- especially when there are 50+ students in the room. You can get away without doing the reading (i didn't even buy the book) and her exam style rocks. Great professor!
