Professor Halsey is an amazing professor who really cares for her students. She is VERY organized and has every resource you need to succeed. She gives a lot of homework and outside of class work, however it is somewhat manageable. Difficult course and hard work but she makes it better!!

Halsey is a truly amazing professor. She's funny, easy going, and passionate about what she does. I honestly am surprised by the comments that say you can't get a 100 on class projects. If you put in the time and effort (and see her if you need help), you're bound to do well! The material can be challenging, so make sure you attend class regularly.

Mrs Halsey is the sweetest woman in the world and she truly does everything she can to make everyone pass. During class she always explained things well and answered questions until everyone understood. The material can be challenging but all the questions on the tests and quizzes are directly from the homework. She also gives tons of extra credit!

If you did not have her for a previous class, you cannot get 100 on an assignment. Does not care about the grades of her students or how degrading it is to receive low grades despite best efforts. Most class below 70. 3 test grades below 20 on last. Is not understanding, will not help with Mathematica projects(so hard). Ruined passion for math.

I had Mrs Halsey for precalculus and she makes the class passable. There is a good amount of homework but if you pay attention in class its easy (& most of the answers are available in the text book). Ms Halsey clearly wants everyone to pass & tells you EXACTLY what is on the test, so as long as you put in the minimal effort, you will do well.

Halsey is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. Although the work can be challenging itself, she does try her best to make sure her students understand. She also offers "Success Strategy Points" which is extra credit that can help increase your grade by even a whole letter. Very friendly and understanding of your questions

Took online statistics with Professor Halsey, great experience overall. The Aplia homework and discussions could be tough, but she was always willing to help. As long as you do the work and really use the examples in the text book you can succeed in this class.

She inspires me to take my education seriously. If you do not plan on trying your best in this class then it is a waste of time. The math center and her office hours helped me get a good grade in her class.

Very strict professor with grading. If you think you got a 100% on a project turned in, think again because that is near impossible with her style of grading. She does offer extra credit though, she is a very bad teacher and you will not get the concepts down unless you learn them on your own time. Awful instructor.

Mrs. Halsey is honestly one of the greatest professors I've had. She cares about her students, gives you projects that really make you think and understand the material, and is readily available to help when you are confused. She teaches straight off the white board, no power points. Highly recommend.

The only reason I'm even writing this review is because Mrs. Halsey is the only professor to ever call me out on my immaturity and I honestly respect her for that. She saw and told me that I have potential and it really opened my eyes. They always say the third time is the charm.. They're right, I finally passed calc with her.

Fear the Hals! She is an excellent teacher but an extremely hard grader. If you commit to doing the practice problems and asking questions you'll do fine. She loves to answer questions so discuss things in class with her.

Mrs. H grades VERY hard. She requires you do a ton of explaining. If you go to the math lab, her assignments aren't that difficult. If you do the work and try to understand, you'll do well in the course. She does love what she does, as well, which is always more interesting. However, if you get on her bad side, I think she holds a grudge.

Awesome teacher! She is a very pleasant person and really TEACHES the class, unlike other professors. If you do the work, you'll get a good grade. I haven't studied once for that class but I pay attention and do the homework and my average is a 98. Great teacher, would definitely recommend.

I had this professor for pre-calculus math awhile back. To be fair, she wasn't the worst ever. However, I think that I got on her bad side by asking lots of questions on the second day. She decided to play rough with me, when she was more obliging to some others. I once waited 45 mins, and she told me to re-read the text, rather than helping me.

Awful! She spend 25 out of 50 minutes EVERY class telling us how its not her fault if we fail...Well then Teach the Class instead of lecturing us! SHe grades way to hard and in order to get a full 100 in the class you have to go to the math lab and that is impossible for someone whos a full time worker and student...not fair for those people.
