Comment:

So she's a really really nice person. Her classes are honestly enjoyable.. However, studying for her tests are so dreadful I would not recommend her class. The amount of material on each test is absurd and it is all essays, so you are forced to know everything and every little detail because so many possibilities to be questioned on.

I love Prof Gavin. She's the sweetest person alive, and not only is she fun, but she makes me want to come to class. The tests are hard if you don't understand the concepts, but if you study the notes and come & pay attention in class, you'll do just fine, & she'd be more than willing to help you if you're struggling. Take her if you want to learn!

Professor Gavin gives great lectures. Never felt bored in class. She is very responsive to emails, kind, and patient. However, I had her for Org B , and am left frustrated in my final course grade. There are 3 tests, one paper, and one group presentation. You are also graded on participation. YOU MUST PARTICIPATE AT LEAST ONCE A CLASS.

Best professor I have ever had. Her exams could be looked at as tough but if you actually pay attention in class and prepare for them, you know what to expect and should do very well. I would HIGHLY recommend her.

BEST professor at Marist. She responds to emails in minutes, and she is very engaged. If you want to do well in her class let her know, she will go above and beyond to make sure you get the grade you desire. She's the most helpful professor I have ever had, and you really will learn valuable information in her class! TAKE HER YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!

One of the best professors I've had at Marist College. I have too many good things to say about her. She was the professor who inspired me to take on a second major, she wrote my abroad recommendation and helped me through a tough time. Her class is easy to follow, she gives outlines on what to expect on the exam, & all her exams aren't difficult.

Dr. Gavin is the best of the best. She is very engaging and makes you want to pay attention. Not the easiest class, but you WILL learn if you take Gavin. She is so knowledgeable and really knows how to run the class. HIGHLY recommend.

This professor has too much on her plate to give you the attention you need to succeed. The directions for assignments are not very clear and nor is the grading criteria. She is very hard to reach and hard to contact and is often even out of the state.

Gavin is the real deal. She treats students just as employees. 3 tests, paper and project. Clearly defines how she wants things done and offers help to those who seek it. Her relevant experience helps to connect with students. Would without a doubt take any class she teaches again.

Very nice woman. Course consists of 3 Exams, a group project and presentation, and a 3,000 word paper. Memorize all of the notes for the exams because they are essay and you have put down everything that was stated in the notes and be able to apply it in ordder to get full credit - it's a lot of material to study for. Tough grader so do your best.

You better be good at writing essays because it's all you do. Not a lot of work, but exams are all essay and you have to be very detailed. Shes very nice, and very smart, but a tough grader. Memorization and lots of studying is key in this class.

Dr. Gaivn is a great Prof. I would love to work for her in the real world. Her tests are all essay and it is a lot of memorization, but between her notes (that she posts prior to tests) and the notes you take in class it really isnt that hard. 3000 word essay and a grp presentation at the end of the semester, 3 ehtics papers but no final. Take her!
