I hate Sightreading, and thought that class was going to be HELL. Joanne made the class fun and tolerable. She really cares about her students, and offers insight that most Berklee teachers (especially voice faculty) do not provide. Definitely a great teacher and person.

What an amazing person. Always laughing and makes you feel like you matter. She knows/understands how Berklee is. She's definitely out to help you and is not a diva like others in the department. I liked her so much that I'll be taking her for private lessons!

Joanne is an excellent, patient teacher and an advocate for her students. If it wasn't for her, I would not have stayed at Berklee. She really cares about her students, and offers much needed advice. She is a holistic teacher... she's got her eye on the big picture, and will help you reach your dreams if you work hard too. She is a treasure!

Joanne is my favorite teacher at this school. She's got the best sense of humor and she really knows what she's talking about. She doesn't have a huge ego like the rest of the vocal department. She's definitely there for her students and always gives criticism in a positive way. I love Joanne.

Joanne is fabulous. You would be hard-pressed to find a more supportive and intelligent teacher at Berklee. She is not blind to how the students feel about the school and makes it clear what she things. She knows what she is doing and really helps a lot in terms of pushing you to your limits.
