He's one of my favorite professors in Geneseo. He's a really nice professor. I started learning Spanish here. If you study what he said in the lecture, you can get an easy A, bc I did. Don't be afraid with pop quizzes, they're easy, be dropped the lowest 5. He cares students, gives extra credits a lot.

He's a caring professor. Really easy if you put in the effort. The tests are fair and even though he regularly gives homework, they're only ever just readings. Would take a class with him again.

Excellent spanish prof! I dreaded taking spanish but after his class, I felt confident in my spanish. He does such a good job in teaching spanish and I wish he taught 201 next semester. He gives 15 pop quizzes but drops the lowest 5. Quizzes are on vocab and grammar that you study from the workbook. His exams are short and super fair if you study!

Professor Gomez is a genuinely nice and caring professor. So patient and welcoming to every student too. If you do the homeworks and listen in class, you should do well on his quizzes and tests.

Great dude. A lot of fun and has a great sense of humor. However he is an awful professor...all we did was memorize authors and their works. There were never any written directions for assignments.

Absolutely terrific teacher- definitely the best Spanish teacher I have ever had. He grades all of the quizzes and homework very fairly, and is just a really nice guy. He will learn all of your names within the first 2 weeks of class. Take a class with him if you get the chance!

I learned a lot from this class and it was fairly easy. He's very easygoing and lets a lot slide. However, there was no syllabus so it was hard to plan for assignments and know what would be coming up in the future. Overall good class, Gomez is a great guy!

I have taken spanish since eighth grade and dredded taking the class because I still struggled with it. He was probably the best Spanish teacher that I have ever had though, and made it so that I actually understood spanish for the first time in my life. AMAZING professor! Definitely take him if you can.

Took his 372 class prior to studying abroad and found the literature *very* difficult. Tests are pretty hard, and require intense route memorization. One day, he gave us 10 authors and 30 books, and tested us heavily on all aspects of them. In retrospect, I wish that i had had more exposure to the language before taking this class.

I didn't want to take this class at all but with him it wasn't that bad. He is a great teacher! He always makes sure you know what is going on. On the tests there are no surprises, he is not out to get you on them. Class goes by really fast.

Was very mediocre. A little too objective with composition grading. One point was deducted from your grade for incorrect spelling/grammar, regardless of content. Didn't have the enthusiam that other Spanish professors had.

Class is pretty hard if you haven't already learned everything in 101/102. I've had better lecturers...Gomez doesn't seem to like to use pneumonic tricks or worksheets very much to help students learn. The vocab quizzes for XC are really hard ( 100words in 2 days sometimes ). Still, he's fair and the tests are not tricky at all.
