I don't think I can say enough good things about this guy. He made postmodern writing interesting instead of depressing. Every day I looked forward to going to class. Smart, funny, etc. etc. Too bad he's retired to pursue his music. Be on the look out for emeritus work!

Jody is a lot of fun! If he ever comes back from playing in the band, I would recommend anyone to take him, especially if they are just looking for something to fill a requirement. He isn't afraid to cancel class and as long as you turn something in at the end of the semester, your grade is fine. Sometimes his lectures drag on, but it's not too bad

I loved this class! It was interesting and helped me improve my writing SO much! He's easy in the sense that he doesn't give busy work and gives you lots of time off, but still expects enough from you to make doing the work worthwhile. I would take another of his classes in a heartbeat!

Oh my god how did I get lucky enough to get him as a professor? We had 1 big paper at the end, on any subject we wanted, written any way we wanted. We had "lecture" maybe twice, and the rest were story telling time and canceled class for "research." All I want is another class with him.

Extremely nice guy and easy class. Jody is pretty wierd, but i wrote all my poems the day they were due and still got an A. Cancelled class for a couple of weeks too. Easy and Painless class.

Jody is very funny, strange and laid back. We didn't have class a lot and he lets you write the poems on your own time. The only complaint I have is I didn't understand what he meant for me to do/write, his directions seemed to be somewhat unclear. It's hard for me to write how he wanted it to be.

We haven't had class in about a month, its more of a "write on your own time" thing. Bilyeu is really funny and class is talk time (except for the once a month when he goes on lecture binges). Its a good class to take as a gen-ed!
