Lectures can feel long if you don't have an interest in the subject matter and entirely lecture isn't interactive, he just talks. If you find you have trouble focusing or aren't good at taking notes down in this fashion then this prof isn't for you. But if you can, then this is one of the most knowledgeable profs at BU in the subject matter.

Great prof if you know how to properly take notes. Out of the three Econ. profs at BU he's by far the best and most entertaining. Reserved text not necessary if you take notes well. Often misses classes in winter due to road conditions however.

Why do they even allow professors like this to teach. The only reason why I passed his course was because he marks on a curve. Only take him if you seriously have to. The only good thing is that he seems nice and he can be funny at times

disguisting excuse for a professor. horrible in every sense of the word. his exams are not that difficult but only because of the text. should not be asked back for another term. also, administration should at least have the brains not to assign him to teaching any first year classes.

Joe is a nice guy, but as a professor, I find him not very good. I depended more on studying my textbooks than his lectures. It was meangingless to sit through his classes.

Well, considering the Midterms were horrific I figured I would fail the final. I was suprized to see that it was much easier that I thought. Avoid him if you can, but if not than read your textbook (it's the only way you'll understand anything).

I cheated on most of the tests because he doesn't seem to notice anything. He left for like 15 minutes during it... no clue where he went, but when he came back, he was slurring his speech. Worst prof ever!

He changed his testing format this year and in my class of 50 students, only 5 passed the exam. He's an awful teacher, really unapproachable and constantly talks about his drug habit. Avoid his class at all costs. He doesn't teach whats important. I'm filing a complaint cuz he's so bad.

Well, I cheated on the final because he left the class to go have a smoke, I never went to class. All you have to do is the assignments and memorize last year's midterms. If you want you could maybe try to understand economics, but I didn't.
