Comment:

Saying he's thorough is a underestimation of his ability to teach. He covers plenty of material outside the textbook so it is in your best interest to come to class on a regular basis. He is also very lenient and has been known to allow his students to decide the format of his tests and with enough pressure, has been known to give back points.

Very knowledgeable and has a sense of humor but can be intimidating. Interesting class but the tests are hard. He likes to make you think. He's really not as bad as most people think as long as you stay on top of things. Start on the paper early.

I will personally never take another class with him again. The TA admitted that he intentionally tries to trick you on the tests. Taking notes is a much. It's not that bad if you pay attention and go to class, but the tests blow

Pretty sure he makes up words as he goes along. Very thorough in lecture, writes most everything on the board, he intentionally tries to trick you on the tests. Trust your gutt, he's trying to make you second guess yourself. Big 15 page + Research Paper + Presentation. START ON IT RIGHT AWAY. and do a good review of past literature!

Arthur knows what he is talking about but tries to make it seem really complicated with big words. There is a big research paper and as long as you start on it right away you will be fine. He gives you chances to fight for your points back on the tests and tries to do class activities to help your grade. Not an easy A class but not horrible

During his lectures he uses huge words, it makes it hard to even know what he talks about. He says ANYBODY ELSE all the time when he wants class participation, but nobody talks because they don't want to make a fool of themselves. Just do your best, don't take him if you don't have to.

Awesome professor and really knows his information. Probably one of the most intelligent professors I have ever had. He is a hard teacher and his class was hard, but it was very interesting and fun to go to class. I definitely recommend him even though an A is not guaranteed. There is a lot of information to know.

read your book, take very thorough notes with evaluations for each theory. You will need good notes for reviewing for your test, as he has ALL ESSAY tests. he is good at explaining things, following his notes can get hard at times because he jumps around alot

Extremely hard to understand. Lectures are boring, but if you want a good grade you need to attend and take PERFECT notes, because his essay tests will be the death of you if you don't. Very tough grader. He is nice if you need help, but otherwise he kind of seems arrogant. I hated how he used huge words that we struggled with. Nice man in general.

Harldy used book at all. Tests are based off of notes. Very boring teacher, most of the class doesn't show up for this reason. Essay tests are o.k. but he's a hard grader. Don't take him if you don't have to.

people say he is hard. and if you dont show up class is terribly hard. all u gotta do is show up! take EXACT notes. grade is made up of essay tests. as long as you got good notes, you will pass. just show up though!
