Professor Bellamy Jr. is retired now, I took his final class, and he was absolutely amazing. He was exceptionally kind, and utterly hilarious despite it being an 8:30 class in the winter.

Best prof ever. I didn't miss a class. He brings the past to life. It is like he was there when it happened. Exams are easy, if you go to class. No textbooks! If you want to be entertained while being educated, take this class!!! Awesome Prof!

BEST PROF I HAVE EVER HAD!!He is one of the most amazing Profs. He gets you really interested in the course and is super knowledgeable about English History. I wish he taught more classes. He does not use the text book very often and he is so personable. I would recommend him to anyone I know. He also does not use TA's! Fair Marker!

He's so sweet. It's too bad the class was so early, but the way he lectures is different from any of my other professors. He doesn't use slides or webCT, so don't take the class if you don't plan on going because you'll be very lost. He always ends after an hour, but he starts about 5-10 minutes early. He is also very helpful and great to talk to!

Loved this prof. I wish he wasn't retired. This class is very interesting, you have to go to lecture since there isn't anything posted, but its worth it. He starts class a little early and never goes to the end. Amazing prof. Very helpful when it comes to essays.

He makes the course really interesting. You have to show up to the class - he doesn't post notes, and he doesn't use the chalkboard. He makes the course fun though. I enjoy having him as a prof. RECOMMEND taking his classes.

Absolutely love this guy! He makes everything really interesting. He is approachable and easy to talk to. Really helpful when discussing assignments and his essay topics are always very interesting although he tends to pick topics with few resources. Very hard marker as well but is willing to increase marks if you talk to him.

Very good proff. Makes an 8:30 class on a friday enjoyable. He is is decently hard at marking, however this is to be expected as it is University. I recommend sitting close so you can hear him because he does not use a mic or anything. Umm, Arrive early, Arriving exactly on time is late in this class. I feel privileged to be in his class! :D

Fantastic professor! Very helpful when it comes to essays. He will tell you the best sources to use so I recommend going to see him before you write your paper. You will lose most of the marks on the paper for things you leave out, so talk to him first! His mid-year test and exam are a little hard, but a good study session will solve this.

Really tough prof. Expects you to remember very useless trivia on the exam (example: Name 4 archbishops of canterbury between 1066 and 1170). Marks essays extremely hard. Make sure you check your essay sources/thesis with him before writing as he is very picky. Hardest prof I had in university. DON'T take this course if you don't have to.

Prof. Bellamy is absolutely hilarious!!! He's a fair marker, and will give you whatever help he can if you ask for it. He never keeps the class as long as the scheduled time. It was a pleasure to attend his classes. As a hint, don't buy the main text, just the document book, and go to class. You will learn much more off of him than in any textbook!

In 4 years at Carleton still by far best prof i've ever had. Classes were extremely enjoyable, pay attention to his lectures and you'll do well. textbook not needed at all don't waste your money. If you have the chance take him you won't regret it.
