While Math 118 won't be easy, Professor Bowman made the class as understable. He is respectful of his students and willing to explain concepts that students struggle with. While his assignments can be challenging, they are not frustrating as he is almost always willing to guide through them.

A great prof who really helps his students understand the concepts. If your taking Honours math classes from him don't expect them to be easy but he will certainly help you out if you ever need it.

Dr. Bowman is a really great prof. He explains concepts clearly and is always willing to spend extra time helping you if you need. His tests are fair and accurately reflect the difficulty of the honours courses he teaches. He is also very passionate about mathematics which helps a great deal in making the course enjoyable.

Very poor prof for Math 101. We seemed endlessly rushed, he made countless mistakes, and we seemed to go very quickly through some important topics, and spend far too much time on unimportant ones.

Math217 is the hardest class ever, But Dr. Bowman got me through it. He is incredibly helpful in his office hours. The tests were very hard, but made fair. The homeworks were long and hard but very helpful, and he was glad to give you hints if you asked. Gave us the online textbook and other resources for free! Sent us 7 practice finals!

Genuinely good person. He's got some pretty abstract examples and confusing ways of teaching, but he will do almost anything to make sure you understand the material. Bowman pulls it out in the clutch. I would give him a 10 for helpfulness if I could.

Bowman is a professor who does his best and really wants his students to do well. However, he often makes things sound very confusing, especially when he's short of time. His teaching is tailored more towards honors math students, and his examples are too simple most of the time to really apply to the what you learn. But he is helpful one on one.

If you are not an honours math student DO NOT take his class. His examples are not relevant and sometimes he totally skips some things that are on tests or homework. His teaching style is tailored towards honours students! However, Bowman is a very nice guy one on one, and he really cares about his students.

Saying this course is easy would be a contradiction, but Bowman is an extremely good professor. The notes and lectures are very good, and he has extremely helpful (and plentiful) office hours. A great guy and extremely nice fellow (watch out for those math jokes!).

Outstanding prof. No, the class is not a cakewalk but he is very helpful and will go out of his way to make sure you get the help you need. Also the fact that he clearly is passionate about what he's teaching (and the math jokes) make going to class pleasant. If you can get him, and want a good understanding of the subject matter, then do.
