The most interesting, fun and innovative professor. He actually encourages students to research the lesson and learn from it. Many of the students in the class absolutely love and revere him. There were some complaints on organization, but c'mon! We're all adults here -time to actually DO THE RESEARCH than have it spoonfed to you!

Prof Brownlee is captivating. Although he is very soft spoken, he delivers a carefully planned lesson with creativity, composure and humor. If anyone feels otherwise, it's because they aren't smart enough or they're not paying attention.

Comment:
Professor Brownlee is amazing in his approach of teaching. He may seem disorganized, but it is probably a way for him to teach us to become more efficient and more organized in OUR methods, as students. He doesn't believe in feeding us everything with a spoon, like a bunch of babies. He encourages us to structure our own thoughts on the subject.

Really knows his subject. Very approachable for help and information about essays. Exams are based mainly on past exams, which make them easily predictable and easier to prepare for. It will be a sad day when the EAS dept loses his classes.

Great professor who knows his stuff. His lectures are slightly disorganized in that you have to figure out how he strucutres them and base your notes around it. Other than that, he's kind and will help you if you need it. What more can you ask for?

I agree with the others, he is monotonous, speaks slowly, and can be boring sometimes, but I never had trouble writing any notes, and he always had wonderful stories to tell. I believe he does listen to counterarguments, he just has a better opinion. :P
