I know you're no longer with us but if by some miracle you are out there in the ether and can somehow see this; I WANT YOU TO KNOW that you were my mentor, my hero, and my friend. You led me gallantly through the trenches & taught me to fight for myself. I am forever grateful for knowing you. I know, even now, at the lateness of the hour, I prevail

Dr Coker has it made. He gets paid for almost nothing and you get what you pay for. His courses are designed to practically teach themselves. Take him while you can if you enjoy listening to rambling profane atheist-marxist tripe. Does he know the material he teaches? Apparently. Will you learn it from attending his lectures? Not likely.

Dr. Coker was a very energetic professor who rambles and has to say "huh?' after every statement. There is 1 test, the final. Which he gives to you abt 3 wks in adv. However it is so hard and extensive! He allows you to work in groups but even as a group we struggled. You dnt need a book but I would not recommend taking Legal Theory. Super Hard!

Online course taken as an Elective. No interaction with students or in forums. Multiple, confusing, contradictory emails regarding assignments and grading calculations. Does not respond to emails. No text book, instead hundreds (literally) of pages of .pdf documents to read online or download. Worst class ever.

I took this professor's online Greek Mythology class. I have been in college for 3 years and have NEVER been so confused. The grading was confusing. The 15 emails in a row with conflicting information about due dates was confusing. The "study guides" are a joke. Power Points do not have Main Points. They are just long pages of reading.

Dr. Coker is so funny! He will say anything that crosses his mind. His class is 50% online & 50% not online. He doesn't use a textbook. He hates taking attendance but does per jag alerts. He curves grades. I would recommend taking him but this class isn't an easy A.

50% online/50% in the class. Dr. Coker gave study guides, and had 1 midterm and 1 final/One of the smartest men I've ever met in my lie. He is offensive in the best way, saying whatever crosses his mind. Dr. Coker really cares about the students so no textbook is required and he gave a 15% extra credit exam after the Final to help students! TAKE HIM

Took him for 1 class that was cross-listed with my major, now wish I could take more Philosophy classes just to be taught by him. He's amazing: insanely intelligent, knowledgeable beyond belief, hysterically funny, and yes, offensive in the BEST possible way in that he challenges you and treats all myths, even current ones, as just that - MYTHS.

Take him for Freshman Seminar if you want to get an A for mere attendance! Dr.Coker is hilarious and quite frank about...well almost everything. Glad I took him for freshman seminar; was one less class I had to worry about.

Half the time the professors forgot to show up for this class. Easy A but I learned nothing. He's a funny character (don't sit in the front if you don't like the smell of cigarette smoke), but the class consisted of little more than Coker reading a passage, looking at the class and going, "Eh? Eh?"

He's a really smart guy...with an obvious passion for teaching, but has immense concentration issues. It is okay to take his classes if you are on financial aid or have rich parents, but not if you pay for college yourself. You simply do not get your money's worth, and it can be extremely frustrating. Get ready for pointless digression galore.

Really hard class. The class discription is really vague. Team taugh it with anouther teacher. It was like taking two classes. 1st graded work given after the drop date. I found it hard to follow his train of though: harder to know what he wanted in the essay questions. Nice guy, very hard subject. Really could have used a grounded teacher.
