Had him for Lincoln: Democratic Values at Rose Hill. He is simply the best professor that anybody could have. If you ever get an opportunity to take a class with him, it will definitely be worth it. Wish I could take him again but I am soon graduating.

This professor is so enthusiastic and dedicated to his work it's ridiculous and contagious. Knows his stuff, although this class will be part english lit/ part philosophy. Best professor I've had so far at Fordham, but I'm going into my second year so take this with a grain of salt.

one of the best professors i've taken at fordham. i was dreading taking the philosophical ethics requirement but it ended up being a class i looked forward to going to. he is caring, helpful, and understanding. go to his office hours and he is extremely helpful. as long as you put in effort and show up to class you should get a good grade.

Took Love, Emotion, and Meaning class this past semester. Great class overall. Although, admittedly, some of the topics were dry. Easily one of the best professors at Fordham. Go talk to him during office hours - his breadth of knowledge is just amazing. Wish I could have taken more with him! Too bad I just graduated. SWAG. But yeah, take his class

Challenging material but clearly explained. This stuff on character goes deep into existential issues. Always willing to help. His real enthusiasm for these ethical questions definitely comes across.

Easily one of the best professors at Fordham. He is extremely knowledgeable in the subject. Difficult readings, but he makes it easier through his lectures. It was my first class with him, but I learned more from him than any of my other classes. Unlike some professors, he is also a great teacher, not just a great scholar. Take his classes!

He is a riot! I had a blast in his class, but at first I found him annoying as all he did was ramble. But once he starts talking, you realize how wise he is on philosophy and then you open up to his antics. Gave lots of reading - like all philosophy teachers - but was a very fair teacher. If you SHOW UP to class and do the work, you will do well!

He is the furthest from narcissistic or self-involved, I struggle to comprehend the previous reviewer's sentiment. He is an extremely intelligent, passionate professor with nothing but the student's best interests in mind. I've learned more from him than anyone in my academic career to date. He knows his subject matter like no other professor.

Narcissistic, self-righteous, sanctimonious, self-involved, Favorite words: I; me; mine. Helps a student when convenient or useful to him. Other phil. profs at FU better, nicer & more interesting.

His entire lecture is one long ramble. I feel the entire time like he's about to say "Anyway, my point is..." Very hard to pay attention. I would LIKE to like him, because he's such a nice guy, but he's a bore.

A really nice guy, but gives straight lectures. He doesn't really stop to appreciate student imput, and we've been studying The Republic for weeks on end. I understand the importance of Plato, but some variety would be nice this far into the semester. Overall: a really nice guy but not the most attention grabbing class

He's absolutely brilliant but you have to be really smart to be able to appreciate him. His lectures are sometimes hard to grasp because the subject matter is always HARD and dense but it's fascinating stuff if you put in the work. He's super nice and helpful too, will go out of his way for you if you ask nicely.

Not a very stimulating lecturer. He uses language that is not conversational enough for the classroom, making the concepts difficult to grasp. If you read the material assigned, and can sift through his vocabulary in his lectures, you'll see how brilliant he is and really take a lot out of the class.

He is utterly useless! If you need any help, good luck. He will get around to helping you if he pleases. Take another prof if you want to learn and want to keep your gpa healthy. Do NOT take him at all!

Favorite professor; he can make even the hardest theory understandable, he's funny, interesting, and kind. Very approachable out of class,fair-easy grader, just the right amount of reading (which is interesting as well). Not much work besides reading. One of the best Philosophy professors at Fordham
