Highly critical of any English grammar or writing style that he does not approve of. The funny thing is he critiques grammar issues with his own writing that is full of errors. Has totally biased views based on his own preference and interests.

Very monotone. Very long-winded. Very redundant. Definitely not the worst teacher I've had.... but certainly there have been many who were better. He's just so unchangeable.

I disagree. You either understand John, or you don't. he makes no effort to try and explain terms/concepts outside his linear way of thinking. has been teaching contracts/torts for way too long. the department needs to shake things up and have someone else teach these subjects with a "fresh" perspective.

Arguably the best thing this program has to offer. If I had a choice, John would be teaching all of the core courses in this program because he is the most organized, the most interested, and the most helpful teacher and that makes for a good class and content & learned students.

John is very intelligent definately knows his stuff and makes the material easy to understand. A fair marker, His tests arent easy but there arent any tricks either. Not to shabby on the eyes either! Bonus: you dont need to do the reading to get an A in his classes.

Aside from being a bit "monotone" in his lectures, John is probably one of the best instructors I've had. He goes the extra mile to help his students understand, he is easy to take notes from, and he really knows his stuff. Keep it up John!

John's great but Legal Research is so dry and tedious that most of the students have difficulty staying awake during class. Also the trips to the library are not worth the time and trouble. The course will need to be revamped to reflect the increasing predominance of computers over books.

A totally sweet man. Also, organized and helpful. Sometimes though, I wished he were a little livelier---those Friday mornings of legal research instruction were extremely tedious! As to hotness...please! He needs to first fix that cowlick and then stop wearing those pleated pants.

This is definitely one instructor who knows his stuff. His teaching style is excellent and he also has a very good sense of humour. Unfortunately, his exams are tough and law school oriented.
