Don't take his classes unless you want to be challenged and are willing to work hard, very hard. If you do endure, it will be one of the most rewarding experiences you have ever had and it will help you immensely in your career. One of the few courses (as well as others he teaches) that you can apply to daily life.

Doesn't practice own class notes misses classes no office hours engages with students (only in CLASS) forced them to form groups bad, but only manufacturing teacher cannot REALLY take criticism answers Ques with a Ques Not real clear about what he wants and then grades very hard lies about how he grades His is the only way it should be done? Worst professor I have ever had. Doesn't understand the material himself making it impossible for him to teach it. His lecture slides have countless errors, he misses multiple classes due to "conferences", he doesn't have office hours and is horrible at responding to email.

One of the best professors I've had at Michigan Tech! I felt that I understood the material more than I ever had. He engaged with the students and encouraged them to work in study groups. If you weren't able to complete all problems on exams, he allowed the steps of how to solve the problem. This proved that you understood the material!

Very hard grader, provides little direction about what to study and if your answer doesn't match exactly what he is looking for you get almost no partial credit. Doesn't go over any problems in class and only offers answers from the solutions as help on the HW. Too bad he is the only prof here that teaches these manufacturing topics.

Refuses to provide feedback on anything graded. His way is the only way it should be done, any other way is wrong. Never take a class from him. I've taken 3 from him and he can't teach at all. He makes up grades at the end of the semester and doesn't give a reason as to how he came up with the grade.
