Interesting class with lots of programming examples. Very knowledgeable in C++. Just ask the "right" question and he'll be sure to answer you. That's how it is in life.

Material is very hard and he expects you to know it or if you do not know, he expects you to pick it up right away. labs are done on your own. I would recommend that you do not take him. Half way through the semester almost 20 people dropped it. The computer nerds were the only ones left. I made the mistake of staying. Take Van bosch

STAY AWAY FROM HIM AND HIS ASSISTANT IF HE IS TEACHING(THE LAUGHLAN GUY). He does not help you at all with how the logic works in the class labs he gives you and those are required for the exams. Unless you know your programming well, you are wasting time and money taking him as a beginner programmer.

Whoever takes a course with this instructor and says that he is good at teaching may have already taken the course beforehand or got help from some genius who knows how to program. He is not helpful at all on labs, and his exams are insane. You are wasting your MONEY taking the course with him, get some other guy to teach or go to BCIT.

This class is a breeze. The teacher's a bore but you have a computer and the internet; problem solved lol. Seriously though, his examples are a little boring, but he's more than helpful during labs, which pretty much cover the stuff learned that week.

NEVER EVER take the course with this instructor. Very difficult considering that he does not help anyone with labs or assignments. When you get the midterm, your marks will go down because labs are main part of the midterm and final. The problems in your textbook are easier. Intro Programming should be rewarding, not extremely difficult.

Excellent teacher. Very clear. Awww, cmon, u can't expect CompSci to be easy ppol. I admit his assignments are not easy but wats da point if its trivial. Just need to put some effort and u'll find his class pretty interesting. BEST CompSci teacher in DC.

Mid terms are reasonable. Lab tasks aren't appropreate for the course considering the lowest quality of his lectures. I had both excellent and bad professors at other universities. He is the reason I wound not want a college diploma. Definitely the worst.

He is a clear teacher, you surely will need lots of effort for assignments, Midterms are easy, a teacher with S grade (so high class!)
