Although his lectures feel long, he is hilarious. He makes jokes throughout the class that makes it go by a little faster. Shows a lot of documentaries.

Professor Masella is good. I took his class this summer 2017 and got an add code without any issue. We only had one midterm, one quiz (about a book) and a final. Always come to the day before the exam because he gives a study guide that is basically the exam. Only 4 absence otherwise you would be dropped you from the class.

DONT MISS CLASS. If you skip he will drop you and not tell you. No homework or quizzes. 3 exams including the final. Review sessions are him giving you the question and answer to the exams so dont miss it. You dont have to take notes just show up and dont fall asleep and you'll get an A

This is the first instructor does not allow you to take notes in class when I'm apart of DSS I had to go over his head and of course he given me a hard time but I believe in standing up for myself. He's not compassionate at all a bit on the rude side at times. I would never take his class again and I don't quite see how he get's such great reviews.

His class could be boring if you don't pay attention, but if you pay attention, you'll find he is actually very hilarious! He'll give you all the questions and answers before each test, try to record and memorize them. 40 multiple choices and a few short answers at the end, mostly just fill in the state on the map.

At first I was really nervous for his class because I'm not good at history at all, But taking his class was a breeze. Text book is required just to participate in class. The given study guides are basically the test so STUDY IT! I recommend you recording the review days, because he is really fast paced.

I took this class 3 years ago. This teacher is one of the best I have ever had. Great guy. I was a class pet and I don't know why. Maybe because I sat in the frontish. Seriously you will learn a lot, not just of the material but of life.

Only one regret: I didn't take this class over a long semester. Summer made it very fast paced but Masella made it fun and made us laugh every day. Take his class if you want to learn a ton while being entertained. Once he learns your name, he will pick on you constantly, but all in good fun. He's hilarious and full of life.

Mr. Masella is great! I loved his lectures they're like story time. He really knows his history and explains things very clearly. His personality struck me as odd at first but he's actually really funny. Show up to class on time, do not be absent more than 4 times or he will drop you. The review for his tests are great and tests are easy.

Masella is the man. Really enjoyed his lectures it's like storytime. All you have to do is come to class and study a little bit you'll get an A. Be on time, try to engage him a little and he will like you. Hard to get into his class, a lot of international students get in and the skip class and cheat on the tests. Kind of sad others can't enjoy hisclass

Anyone that doesn't like Masella is crazy! His classes (I'm taking both 120 and 124) are a cake-walk. Just show up and listen. He has a sarcastic sense of humor and no homework! Get off your cell phone and give him your attention; then he gives you the test questions AND answers the day before each test (course is graded on 2-3 tests). THAT'S IT.

Easy history class. He uses the book to have you read overnight, but reads through the homework next class. Just jot down some notes and you'll be fine. Also he goes over just about all of the answers for the midterm and final the class before; as well as giving you time to review a few minutes before the test. Great guy.

This dude is awesome and hilarious! Attendance is mandatory, and he shows no mercy with it if a student missed 4 classes; meaning he will drop them without exception. Even though I had him for only one day a week during Fall 2013, the class went by fast. One midterm and a final. Be sure to read the textbooks, as they can be very helpful.

He's a funny guy! He has students move things around, open the window, and pull down the map to his own satisfaction. No homework, read assigned chapters. Only 3 exams, 45 Qs each w/ map. Class before the exam, he will ask the class questions that will be on the exam, & answers will be the same on exams. Laptop use during reviews are okay!

I took History 120 with masella. There is no way in hell that you should not get an A. Attendance is mandatory (only allowed 4 absences). He gives question and answers to be on exam the class before the exam.He only gives you half the questions that will be on the exam, be wise and google the book for the rest of the multiple choice questions
