Prof. McPhee is very passionate about Christianity, does not force his views upon you, and is very open to class discussion. He gives many opportunities to be graded, such as take home quizzes and 2 pg. papers where you can react to what you've learned. He can get very animated and loud at times to keep people awake. Great man, great professor.

Professor McPhee is a true gem. He is passionate about Christianity and presents the material in an unbiased way. Though it is a night class and he WILL keep you the full amount of time, he is energetic and it is never boring. Weekly take home quizzes are assigned but easy with the text. I would take him again in a heartbeat

Comment:

McPhee is a nice guy but will get offended if you question his faith. This class is like taking CCD/Religious Ed all over again. As a night class you're graded by very few things. The assignments are pretty easy, get the electronic version of the textbook to search the answers on the weekly quizzes.

For a night class he keeps you the full time but the class wont drag he keeps it very interesting by making the class fun and not so dull and boning. You learn a lot in Christianity learning both sides of the story. Quizzes are very easy if you read the textbook. Overall this class was enjoyable and I would take this class again.

He is a great teacher and is very passionate about religion! He shows each side when it comes to a religious topic and likes others to share their thoughts. He talks a lot and keeps you to the end of class. There are weekly readings and quizzes which are hard and a term paper midterm and final. Overall good teacher!

McPhee was awesome! I went into Religion in America thinking ugh gross a boring religion class but McPhee made it relatable and interesting. He's funny and will definitely keep you awake during his lectures. One class a week was lecture based and the other was discussion based, midterm and final, a few discussion papers and a final paper.

Super enthusiastic prof. I expected Religion in America to be boring but he's very lively! A few short papers and one longer research paper, but he's an easy grader. One class each week is discussion so be prepared to talk, but it really wasn't bad and I don't usually like talking in class. Reading the textbook was definitely not necessary.

Comment:

A really passionate and animated professor. However, if you answer a question incorrectly in class he'll ask you to elaborate and then tell you five minutes later you were wrong. We had reaction papers every two weeks, a midterm, and a final. Lots of discussions so be sure to read the book!

professor mcphee is a great professor. he is easy to understand, and if you show up to class and participate you will get an A. midterm and final are super easy. 5 or 6 small 2 pg journals throughout the class that basically boost your grade. funny quirky extremely helpful and understanding.if you want to learn and be entertained take mcphee.

Definately take McPhee for any religion class. He is very helpful and understanding. Assignmenst are easy.There is a lot of reading but he goes over everything in class.He is very enthusiastic and shows he knows what he is talking about.Make sure you do the readings because they are the main part of both exams.An easy A.

I hated this class because it's supposed to be World Views and the first book we read was all about Christianity and basically bashed other religions, which was so biased. He's VERY religious and it's overpowering in a philosophy class. But his exams were not bad and it's easy to do well if you participate.
