Took his class years ago - Now I'm getting a PhD. His class had lasting impact on me and will effect the way I teach a class. He's brilliant! One of the best and most unique teachers I ever had.

I took this class 10 years ago, and I still think about the things he said all the time. I'm sure he is not on the cutting edge of his field, but I GOT SO MUCH OUT OF THE CLASS! I wasn't happy with the grade and he does challenge you, but it was a big influence on my life. What more can you ask for from college? I loved this class!

I had a high interest in psych going into college then took his class that completely took all interest from psych cause I thought what he was teaching was psych. It wasn't. I just finished a Bachelor's in psych and the only thing I remember from his class is Ed Ek. He has no idea how to effectively teach. He just wants you to memorize, not apply.

Professor Meade may have known alot about psychology thirty years ago, but his information is so outdated now that it is ridiculous. He tests on his own personal philosophy of life not actuall psychology. And if you contest his views even with hard evidence he wont listen and will attempt to joke it away.

I have been out of school for 2 years, I have a doctoral degree and I was just recently thinking of a class lesson Dr Meade taught 8 years ago and I searched his name on google and found this site. His class influenced my learning more than any other class I took in all ten years of my post high school life. I would highly recommend his class.

One of the worst teachers I've ever had. He taught nothing but his own personal views. Arrogant, pompous, and a complete waste of my time. I've never had a teacher so COMPLETELY disregard the actual course material. You'll learn nothing about psychology.. only how Meade thinks you should live your life.

I thought this dude was funny. Yeah he teaches his point of view but it got me thinking. You have four tests. One take home and one book test each time. It was rough but I got through it and didn't let him scare me off just because people said he was hard.

His class ridiculous. My friends and I called his class, "meadeism 1010" because the only psychology we got from his class, was the take home tests that we had to use the book for. Everything else, he would just teach weird, random things. And his tests were SO Hard! My major was psychology, and I switched to Dixie State College.

Avoid this Teacher at all cost!! I find myself double checking everything he says because about 85% of what he says if false information. The stuff he talks about on in his classes that have the least relevance to phsychology are always the most likely to show up on his tests making it nearly impossible to get a good grade.

K...this could have been a very interesting class. The thing is he has some very interesting views and that is what he teaches. Yeah if i were taking philosophy then the class might be great, but i signed up for psychology and thats what i wanted to learn. Biggest waste of my time.

Meade gives No assignment just four huge tests. No Multiple guess all essay questions. You have to take really good notes everyday and study hard. He's a good teacher and teaches what you need to know for life.

Meade's style is different for sure. It's true that you are expected to memorize the many 'lists' that he dishes out, but don't get caught up in thinking this is weird, it's just different than what we're used to. He's been saying the same things for years, but they truely are good principles. He's not the #1 recommendation I'd make,but he's good.

Comment:

Make sure in tests that you write things word for word as they are in your notes. Doesn't really teach principles as much as memorizing notes, and you don't really learn much from that. Learned a little bit about some things, but not much about psychology.

I love the class. His teaching methods work beautifully, he actually thinks up activities to enforce the idea, so it's easy to remember. Quite a bit of reading, but anyone interested in living an easier life should take the class.
