Nice guy but please do yourself a favor and take someone else! All he does is lectures in class, and has a few pop quizzes with midterm and final. Docks points on quizzes doesn't tell you why. He also does not have clear expectations. Extremely slow on grading. I am a straight A student, and got my first C!

His lectures have so much information. He talks a lot during lectures and starts getting off topic. His tests are hard and he is a tough grader. In order to get a good grade, you have to show up to class because he has pop quizzes and unexpected assignments.

Great teacher! He just wants you to learn at least one thing while in his class. Weekly assignments and a midterm and final, clearly explains everything!

He's one of those professors that other Profs need to take note about. He lectures a lot, but his lectures are interesting and engaging. He also genuinely wants you to learn and doesn't care as much about the work aspect of his classes.

I absolutely loved this professor and his class as well as his lab class. The tests are pretty easy just have to make sure you read the questions carefully. 3 tests and 1 research paper 8-10 pages. He wants students to succeed. Responds to emails very quickly. Truly Amazing! He is also understanding, don't be afraid to talk about personal issues

John is a nice guy, but the class is dull. I would recommend renting the textbook online and studying from there, you don't really need to show up to class. There's 3 non-cumulative tests, each about 25 questions. They are fairly hard but it's not to hard to study for them (study guide). There's one final paper at the end but he is an easy grader.

He's a good guy and he wants you to pass. He's not entirely focused on the subjects, but just wants you to walk away with something useful. He is flexible on literally any aspect of class and will answer any questions you have, whether it's in the book or something you heard in the news. Took the anthropology lab and archaeology with him as well.

Knows a lot about the subject, explains everything pretty well (although he has a slight stutter). Attendance really isn't mandatory although it is helpful. In the class I took, the only thing that affected our grades were the exams (3 of them, not cumulative) and a research paper (he's very flexible on the due date). No homework or quizzes given.

A great professor who knows ALOT about anthropology and will help you review for the exam. Textbook is helpful, not needed. Gives long lectures, but they are helpful for the tests and he gives study guides. The 3 exams are pretty tough though. For the final, you can pick to do an easy, 8-10 minute presentation or a grueling 10 page research paper.

Extremely boring class. His lectures are long and have nothing to do with what's on the test. This class is easy in the sense that there are only two tests and either a presentation or an essay, but at the same time, they can make or break your grade. You have to teach yourself the material, so just beware.

Awesome professor for physical anthro lab. Doesn't make you sit around for the full three hours on a single unit course, which makes a lot of sense. Instead, he recommends you stick around after about 60-90 minutes of lecture and get any help with the lab work you may need.

I loved this teacher. He was so nice and taught the subject very well! Personally i found him hilarious, but i don't know about anyone else. He will definitely help you if you need it. Tests are HARD, but just read the book at you'll do decent. 3 tests, 1 (easy) presentation OR essay.

I love this guy! He loves archaeology and makes you love it too. The book is used to aid his lectures, but is definitely needed for the midterm and final. This class is easy if you GO TO CLASS. If you don't go you will be lost and wont know when the midterm is.

John is an engaging lecturer and made the class very interesting. His lectures cover the material exceedingly well so, if you pay attention in class, you may not even need the book. He covered the test material with us, as well, so there weren't really any surprises. Overall, great class, great professor.

He's an awesome professor if you take the time after class to talk to him. He'll answer any question you have, and help you with hw and exams. No hw in lecture class, but in lab class there is only a little bit. Ask him questions he explains very well. Read chapters before exams in lecture class. In lab class no tests until final.

No hw in lecture class, only in lab. In lecture class be sure to read the chapters before each exam; questions based from text and lecture combined.

He is a very nice man. However, his reviews do not cover what will be on the tests. Do the project! He does not answer emails and is so laid back the class is very boring and the material is easy to forget.

Great teacher! He is super helpful so ask questions. He gives study guides that are not super helpful but ask specific questions and he will answer clearly. 3 tests and choice of 8-10 page paper or 10 min presentation on whatever you want. No hw. Take his lab too. Little hw and final. Lectures 1/2 the time and gives hw. You can stay, get help or go
