Comment:

Taking ADMS 4570 with John was the best decision ever. He is so smart and knowledgeable, and unlike most York profs he actually teaches! He has slides that summarize the chapters and he adds his own personal touch to them. Seems to be a fair grader, if a bit tough, but he likes people who participate. Read ahead and you'll be fine. Great guy!

He focused too much on the conceptual materials, but the exams are all about calculations. The assignment is very unclear, even student asked he wouldn't give any specific response. As a result, the average of the exams and assignments were all lower than 50%, which is unbelievable. Except you are good at self-study, otherwise avoid him.

He's got a great sense of humour and loves his tea !!!! He is a great professor, takes his time to teach the course, explain the concepts. 2510 is one of those creepy courses that if you take it for granted, and not do the homework or practice questions, you could fall back. If possible, go to the PASS sessions.

Great Prof, teaches the material very well. Some guy had started freaking out halfway through the final and Parkinson just walked out of the exam with him and chilled with him till he felt better.

He is just a great guy overall. On the professional aspect, he is very clear, very helpful and will help you when needed. He is for sure the best prof for 2510 and I enjoyed coming to lectures, half of it is going through slides for theory and half for problem-solving. divide your time wisely. I didn't do the "connect" assign. felt like a waste.

I never attended a full 3 hr lecture because I feel like he just skims through the slides which I can do myself at home. One thing I learned is that do not overstudy for the quizzes and exams because they end up being really simple and not has hard as the practice. Study the lecture and in-class/tutorial problem slides and you'll survive.

Mr. Parkinson is a great professor! He not only teaches well but makes sure that the students are interested and not falling asleep in class. He is very understanding and has a passion for teaching. He makes anything and everything interesting. Definitely go to his classes. If I could, I would have him as a prof for all of my accounting classes.

He is easy to understand and talk to. His exams are also very simple and not too complex. He does have a habit of reading slides but the Qs he takes up in class are very helpful. Overall, he's probably the best prof for ADMS 2510. Do the practice Qs assigned before exams for all chapters.

Not sure why everyone loves him. He is a very boring lecturer. He literally reads off the textbook slides which we can just read on our own. He is a nice guy with a sense of humour but he is very boring and makes the material quite dry. Exams are fairly easy if you study the text and do practice problems.

I recommend this professor for anyone who doesn't like to be bored in lectures. He gets through about 80 slides in an hour and makes sure that you understand everything during the process. The fast lecture allows him to go through helpful examples in the second half of class which is really key to understanding the material.

i took internet course with him. he was approachable but... was not clear on answering my questions. other point - someone mentioned that - he pointed out some material (like concentrating on solving problems) but the quite decent part was about the theory not applications. dissapointed (( the book is :(( beware
