Pinna is a very smart man, he's very knowledgable in History, and a real nice guy. He gives you all the information you need to succeed in his class and makes it very easy to get an A. There is one big project he gives which really isn't that difficult and you get to choose your topic. Otherwise, the workload isn't bad. I recommend taking him!

I enjoyed his class a lot. One very big writing project assigned to you first day. Some smaller 3-5 page papers scattered throughout. Course material is interesting and he interjects a lot of his personal stories (since he's an older guy) relevant to it. He's not an easy A but if you want an interesting history class, definitely go for him.

This professor is very nice and the class is relatively interesting for a history class. However, it is near impossible to get an A, and there is SO MUCH WORK. All quizzes and most of the midterm/final are take home essays, but there is a HUGE project as well as some very long papers. I would recommend for a history major, not for a core class.

He's a nice guy and his class isn't too boring b/c he does movies alot, but he gives way TOO MANY papers for a core class. I had more work for his class than i did for my major classes (and I'm not a communications major either). He's also a really tough grader. The combo of tough grader and a lot of papers = DO NOT TAKE!

Pinna is a nice guy, but his classes are long and boring. Attendance is mandatory and there is a solid amount of work for a core class. It is a tough A because he doesn't give out A's frequently on papers. Overall, it is an okay class but there are much easier core classes you can take.

Perfect fit for a History Teacher. Teaches the class as if it were a running story of the American History. Final Project and Exam are a little time consuming and tough, but nothing extraordinary. If you want a more interesting and useful history class, TAKE THIS CLASS.

Pinna is a super nice guy. The textbook was completely useless, I don't even think he had the same book as the rest of the class. Very difficult to get an A, although he will give you a B on any garbage you hand in. Sound Point!

If you like to write a real real lot then you have a chance of pulling an A. Grades on length rather then quality. Alright guy, the movies are enjoyable. Take if you want a B in a class where you should get an A. No rhyme or reason for the grading scale.
