You will love his class esp. econ 103....He is the best and eziest prof in SFU economics department. Very interesting teaching style. He makes economics so fun and useful. Just read his book and you will be fine. He has so many good stories about economics. I really enjoy his lectures after all.

Knows his material, but dislikes students. Perpetually comments that Economists think on a "higher plane" than other feeble majors. I suggest don't take macro or mirco with him, just because he takes an interesting subject and kills it with sarcasm/rudeness. Non-interactive class, and any questions will be publicly ridiculed and scoffed at by him.

he's a pretty good teacher, although he scared the class into not responding to him becuase when people say answers he pretty much says that they are wrong. i likes the text book b/c he wrote it and the if you did all the questions in it and read the ENTIRE book you are gaurunteed a good mark

He is a GREAT prof, ideas are very clear and organized. He wrote his own textbook, so exams are made out of the textbook, very straight forward! And he uses a lot examples from real life to make the idea applicable to our life a lot, and not like those conceptual ideas which u only can memorize them without understand them. HIGHLY RECOMMAND!

How unfortunate was I, first semester taking course with him. As others said, no notes which made my transition into uni even harder. Looking back at his teaching style, i think he was an OK prof, exams are straight forward, no trick qs etc.

most laziest prof. No notes. Bad text, no headings, all words. Speaks monotone. Need new style for xm. Tut not well-orgz. Diff TA w/ diff quizzes. Horrible experience taking with SAYRE. Swear never to take any courses with him again. Sayre, you need to retire ASAP or quit draining our tuition fees.

He doesn't give notes so pay 100% attention in lectures. He can be quite funny sometime so it shouldn't be too bad. His exams are easy, but everyone is going to do super good so you have to study hard and get at least over 90% to make it a true average booster.

The prof is a fairly interesting lecturer compared to other profs. You can actually relisten to his lectures without wanting to kill yourself. The course is interesting but is completely unrelated to econ, its more of a history class but easier. Doesn't change his exams much year to year so get one.

Lectured straight from his own book. Lectures fairly boring but exams easy. Needs to pick his TA's better because mine couldn't even speak english well enough to help us.

Comment:
This should not be an econ course but a history course. Students should not major in econ if they think econ is like this. I'm an honors student and took his course as an elective. Got an A but found it gave the wrong signs to students wanting to major in econ. The course is a joke!
