For an online course, there was not a lot of teaching involved. Was expected to figure out the material and be able to take a 19 page final. Had to write a paper at the end (on accounting?) and the grade that was given was ridiculous when the topic was confirmed with professor. This class was taught like it was for accounting majors, not business.

Professor Skinnon teaches by slides, but he does his best to explain everything simply for students and is nice. Homework assigned before each class, one midterm and final, and a group project on what you learned in the first half of semester. Please make sure you study the book because the course is challenging. If you work hard you'll do well!

Professor Skinnon is a pretty nice guy, but you need to make sure you stay on top of your work cause he teaches from slides. Specifically for ACC 320, one midterm and final, and homework before each class. Quickbook assignments (killer) are assigned too, but if you do them, you get extra cred! Kind of dry, but he will help if you ask for it.

He expects you to spend 8 hours a week homework, even though you do not understand the homework. Don't bother asking for help, he is no use. I would say avoid him, but he is the only one that is lecturing advanced Accounting. Truly You don't really learn anything just memorize the homework and you'll pass the course.

You can only get a good grade if you're willing to put in a lot of time and effort into this class. Read the textbook. He goes over the homework thoroughly, do not be afraid to ask questions if you don't understand. He wants you to get it. Best accounting professor I've had.

Advanced accounting is not an easy class, but Skinnon breaks down the concepts so you undertand them. There is really no reason to do bad in the class, as long as you do the homework and participate. If you need help, he makes himself available, and like I said breaks it down further with clarity if need be.

Nice guy. I enjoyed his sense of humor. He was a good professor. He wouldn't teach everything assigned, so you need to search the book. He gives a lot of extra credit so it's hard to do badly if you put in the effort on the amount of homework he assigns. His tests are easy if you know the material; he dumbs down homework questions. You'll be busy.

its advanced accounting, you either get it or you dont depending on how much work you put into it and with this class you need to put A LOT of work and attention to your studies. did not agree with his grading system, felt he was not a fair grader at all and gave too much homework due too soon. be prepared to really work in this class

I was reading some passed reviews and I have no idea what happened to him. He is not helpful; he is cynical, cocky and not understanding. The book is it; you can stay home, because all he does is teach from slides and the book. But wait?going to class is mandatory and he keeps you there until the last possible second. The man is not my favorite

This is a hard class no matter how good at accounting you maybe so prepare to work very hard and put in ALOT of time.The book is the worst one ever written in the world! His tests are from the homeworks so you must do them and understand them to pass. Hes very sweet and funny and does not seem like he wants to fail anyone who shows up and tries.

I had him for a 2 full semester, and I am taking him again for advanced. He's a good man, and got a decent sense of humor. You do the HW, and understand it. You u have less stress b/c the tests are directly from HW problems. I would recommend Skinnon

It's a tough course and alot of work. But with Professor Skinnon up there, you have the best chance at doing well in this class. He know's how to teach, and knows his stuff. SKINNON IS THE MAN!!!
