Reasonably good at conveying what can be a dry subject but often has mistakes creep into notes and assignments. Question him! - In general does not post solutions to things to figure out what you did wrong make friends in class and compare notes. FOR THE FINAL, study the proofs, memorize every bit and you'll have all the high value questions done

I loved this class with him! He makes mistakes in his notes but he knows he does which means he takes people correcting him well. Id recommend him to any hard working student in any course he would teach. Lazy students beware. I also took 2080 with him

Very boring but his notes are clear. Studying the sample midterm/final and you'll do fine. A lot of the questions are taken from assignments.

Definitely a great lecturer but like most theoreticians can make little makes here or there (it's common but not the end of the world), it just tests how well you know things. This was a grad course so the difficulty level was much higher but he was ready to answer or made it ready. Great if you like theory, if not be prepared to work hard.

This guy is brilliant. Very fascinating person to talk to during office hours. Slightly pretentious but he deserves to be, he did get his PHD in the late 70s (prof for ~30 years). Soak in his knowledge. Similar in style to Kocay. being in his favour will prove to be advantageous.

Very knowledgeable and reasonably entertaining in his lectures but often makes mistakes writing out his notes on the board. These "little errors" can catch up to you on assignments and tests so be sure to question things that don't make sense. Assignments quite long, exams are tough-ish but test content fairly and won't pull out the worst proofs.

I found he can be very easy in teaching and tends to overlook the more complicated details within lecture (good sometimes, bad other times). Very nice and very helpful. Just work hard and you can earn your mark fairly well.

Hard Professor, and have to attend every class to take the notes, not hard assignment, but hard marker, and have to buy testbook, generally it is a ok professor to take course with, but you have to be hard work type.

He's great at explaining stuff, and for such an early class his presentation style kept me awake. He let the other prof post his notes online, unlike the 208 course director, so we had two sets of notes online. Helped a lot.

Indeed his notes have lots of mistake, sometimes I doubt even himself can't understand what he is talking. I like and write Pascal a lot, but his Pascal code is so flawed. And I think his final exam is really not to evaluate how much the students learn from the class but how much the students memorize from the notes

Seems nice but he is not very good at explaining the course material. His lectures are filled with errors. During the year he'll give "hints" to exam questions but don't be fooled these will not be on the exam. Instead study the proofs that were poorly explained and study it word for word cause you'll lose marks if you don't reproduce it exactly.

Teaches the course material very fast and goes over most of it lightly. Assignments are pretty hard but in the end help prepare for the exams.

He is quite nice to students though. But he didn't teach good. The exams didn't test how much the students understand but how much they memorize.

Notes are unclear. And the amount of small mistakes is unacceptable. When I'm paying someone to teach me something, I'd prefer it if they knew the subject inside out. Exam had too much emphasis on content at the very end of the course.

I think that he must have faked being intelligent all the way though his academic career by hand-waving and using big words. He's a cocky **** that make lots of mistakes and seems to not understand the material.

he doesn't learn the class material... he does however know how to copy notes out of the textbook. Avoid if possible, as he does not understand actual course content. ...i wish he would wipe that white pastey stuff from the corners of his mouth :p

I was skeptical at first but he did a good job. He's completely redeemed himself from a previous course I had him with.
