HOOKS is the BEST. He is hilarious or you hate him there really is no in between. The classes are great. They are set up so you read the text, take notes, take quizzes (with notes!), then he lectures. The test comes from the quizzes. He really gives you all the materials to succeed you just have to apply yourself.

I had Hooks for E&M 101. Take very good notes from the textbook because he let us use our notes for the pop quizzes. He was my favorite professor for my first college semester and had a wonderful experience. Never a dull moment with him, he will roast you. Going to take him again for E&M 102

Although this class was not that interesting to have, Hooks has a good sense of humor and can make it a little more exciting for you. There are random quizzes from each chapter, so make sure you read (and fully understand) what you were assigned. He doesn't give you a review for your exams, so you pretty much just have to know everything.
