Do not take this class, if you have to take this class, then take it with Serina. Zampedro doesn't know the subject, patronizes students, and then still has an ego larger than the massive amount of homework he'll assign. He'll go over some homework, but skip the "hard" questions. He requires you $200 of unnecessary materials. Avoid this class! !

This is by far one of the worst teachers I've ever had at Mason. Not only can he not show up on time to class, he spends over half the class complaining about his personal life rather than actually teaching the class. He has no understanding of the subject and makes that perfectly clear when he refuses to answer your questions. This class is awful!

You are required to buy the book for the access code to statsportal, which half of the homework is ridiculously hard and WRONG! He only uses it because he doesn't want to grade the homework. He runs through the powerpoints and barely answers your question in classes or diverts the questions. Attendance is mandatory. Do not take if possible

I would not take any classes with him again. He talks very fast, doesn't help you out at all with your Minitabs, and 90% of times he will not answer your emails. However he does answer questions in class tho. And DONOT buy the book because you will never use it.

Easiest class I have ever taken at GMU. Go to class, do your homework, and you are basically guaranteed an A. If you don't do those things, though, don't complain about his grading system- because it WILL bite you in the ass.

Perhaps his teaching of Math 110 is good - but as for Math 125, it is poor. Grading seemed arbitrary and his lack of review prior to the class was clearly evident (on two occasions students had to point out that the answer he gave in class contradicted the back of the book answer). I attended class/did homework - but dropped after the 4th class.

Let me preface this first--I am the worst math student ever. I even failed statistics twice...This class was challenging, but if you put in the time-you'll do well. I was exempt from the final for having an A+. His tests are pretty hard-but pop quizes are the exact hw questions. To do well--come to class and do the homework!!!! Extra cred for HW!!!

Good professor. He is fair and helpful. As the other person said, two things to passing his class, go to class and do the hw. I did that and was exempt from the final exam...passed with over 100%. Teaches the material real well.

Professor Z is awesome. 2 rules to passing his class (& he tells you this the 1st day): Come to class and do the HW. Lots of extra credit oppotunities & if you're struggling GO SEE HIM...he's very helpful & makes time to meet with you. If you have to take a math class, take it with him.

Terrible teacher. Avoid like the plague. Starts out fair and completely changes. Moodswings and the ultimate frustration. Impossible to pass. He doesnt teach..he expects you to teach it to yourself. Completely apathetic towards his job. VERY VERY hard exams...different from what he teaches. He thinks our grades are a game and he favors.

Great class! Curves like no other, tutored before class, lots of extra credit. Chapter 11 was difficult, but he provided enough examples that it was somewhat easy to pick up. Test come from the quizzes and there is a chance that you won't have to take the final based on homework (extra credit points) . Great professor!!!!!

I did not like him very much! He only goes over like 4 chapters in the book, and we couldn't even sell the book back! Plus, his exams are ridiculously hard! Our first exam had like a chemistry question on it! If you are good at math, then take him...if you suck at math like I do...take someone else!!!

You're an idiot if you think his grading method isnt helpful. He has a load of extra credit and his quizzes are entirely from your homework, nothing he hasn't gone over in class. You have to really not try to do poorly in his class. I would get 80's on his tests and I got an A+ in the class (which means you dont need to take a final exam)

Prof. Zampedro is a truly memarkable instructor, in that he makes his lessons engaging and comical, while at the same time staying focused on topic. Puts everything in context. His teaching method is fantastic because you are forced to motivate yourself, and if motivated, A's are entirely attainable if not expected. Highly recommended...

He's a great teacher! He goes the extra mile to help u undrstnd the concept. Has xtra credit opportunities for those who do the hwk. Quiz r same q's as hwk. Tests arent 2 diff. If you have an A before final he exempts u from taking the final. I hate stats, but loved his class & ended up with an A. He's a great professor & should teach more classes!
