Best professor I have had at CAL by far. He made me want to go to class every day. No words are good enough to describe him. Easy class but you learn a whole lot too. The only professor here that managed to keep me engaged the whole time. My first history class at Berkeley and I'd take another with him if he's here next summer. Just AWESOME

Absolutely Fabulous! His lectures were organized, clear, and very informative. Wish he taught at Berkeley during the year. A lot of fun in office hours, too. Easy if you do the work. Best professor I had at Berkeley.

I have yet to learn more from any professor on campus. He is just simply a great teacher, and he loves doing it. Intense, witty, passionate...you will love American History after taking this course. Don't miss a chance to take a course with him. The only bad thing is that he's not a professor at Cal, but he does come every summer.
