It's true that he's not the best at lectures, but he is an amazing person to give hand on demonstrations. If you really want to learn from him, ask for a physical demonstration. Ask for help outside of class time and he'll make it a point to be there for you. He can demonstrate production and post production for beginners and experts.

One of the worse professors at Kenyon. While he may be a nice guy he clearly has an incredibly low standard of work and does not put any time or effort into his classes or his students. He does not follow the syllabi for his classes at all or give hands on instruction. His classes are disorganized and poorly run.

Jon Tazewell is one of the best professors I have had at Kenyon. He is incredible passionate and talented, but what I think makes him stand apart from the rest is that he genuinely cares about his students. He is a great drama professor but Film is really is forte. If you get a change to take a class with him, please do! You won't regret it!
