Compiler course: hard class, good prof who understands the work is challenging. He's happy to review your code whenever you ask, and answers e-mails quickly at all hours. Extremely knowledgeable about programming - take him if you want to be a better programmer, but be prepared to work hard. Not arrogant, just smart and with many years experience.

He is a very difficult teacher and he knows his stuff. But he is very arrogant, and is not very clear (i believe purposely) in answering questions. You will learn alot and have to put in a lot of work. I would never take this prof again.

Tough project,easy final.Challenging, but a very useful experience. Strongly advise taking this class. Don't expect to become a seasoned compiler writer in one semester, but for sure you will be a better programmer after passing this course.

All other ratings are accurate. This man thinks he is all that and a bag of chips . Very arrogant. He seems to know his stuff , but someone like him should not be teaching a course like this. Find another if you can. Several students dropped.
