Worst prof ever! Unclear lectures in a very slow speed. Always teach materials for the assignment on the due day. Writing is always disordered, don't know what he is talking about!

I'd prefer if he taught a little bit faster. Everything he does seems so slow. I dropped in on a different class where the teacher taught extremely fast and I would say Cheriyan was the better of the two, but if you take in how little he covers in one class, it is kind of off putting. He does seem like he cares a lot for the students however.

His note is very clear. He is also very patient and helpful in his office hour. Some ppl states that he has a bad temper but anyone knows why. He loses temper bez some students talk loud in class and influence others. His lectures are well organized and assignments are good. He is a very responsible teacher and exam, even the final is very fair

Joseph really cares about his students. He is always willing to help. However, his teaching needs improvement in terms of clarity and organization. Go to his office hours and get help from outside of class. You will like him and the class a lot more if you reach out outside of class.

I thought his teaching was good. He may not give the impression that he cares about his students, but he does want you to do well. He gives very good geometric explanations and made this course pretty clear.

I went in for help before the exam, and the guy yelled at me. I was sitting right beside him, and he felt the need raise his voice. He insulted my intelligence by asking if I understood English, and then proceeded to read out my marks from his book to embaress me. A very useless man. Only upside: writes everything he says - a terrible speaker.

Helpful if you ask him, but I couldn't get over his mean attitude. I though his teaching was below average and I saw his back most of the time I wasn't sleeping. If you have a choice - pick someone else to bore you with co350 crap.

Arriving late and lecturing past scheduled time can get really annoying -- felt like 2 out of 3 classes every week for each. Otherwise, seemed like a typical math prof. Short/simple assignments; reasonable midterm and exam. I could have got a great mark if I cared to learn proofs for tests.

He is defintely not interested in you, but the key point is, if you go to him for help, he will help you. Dont let his attitude and personality be the basis of judgement. His exams are fair, assignments really helpful. Teaches the course as it should be. Personality needs adjustment but rest is good
