Well this was my first semester having him, and I'm actually sad to say that I'm going to miss going to his class. For the most part, his class was enjoyable, and the class work wasn't really that bad. Compared to m Eng-1010 class, Colavito gave me a challenge to actually think outside the box. I recommend him. E

When I took him, I didn't think he was that bad. Although he did drift off topic from time to time, I liked how encouraged class participation. If anything, drifting off topic from time to time kept the class intrigued and awake.

worst english teacher i've ever taken. wastes entire class periods talking about nothing. assignments are uninspired. teaches how to be a teacher to a class full of people who don't want to be teachers. i do not like that man or his squeaky shoes.

As usual, he picks your brain and provokes you into forming an opinion about the reading. He directs classroom discussion well, soapboxes only minimally but does so in establishing communication with the students; besides, it kept us awake. We learned to question everything and to defend our answers and opinions in our papers. And we laughed a lot.

Liked the discussions, and he was very upfront with political bias. The papers were kind of difficult to write, but he didn't grade too harshly. Overall, it was one of the better 1010 classes.
