Extremely good professor. His classes are hard, but if you're willing to spend some time working on them, he will make it worth it! He can be a little scary when you don't know him, but he really is devoted to his students.

Previous comments are a travesty. Katz is a great professor with an accent that put a smile on my face everyday. Previous ratings most likely due to subpar grade performance, but Katz can't be blamed for that. No longer teaches thermodynamics, but is a pleasure of a professor, take his classes if you like to challenge yourself.
