Funniest Professor I've ever had. He can come off as a calm eccentric, but once you get a feel for him you'll understand how sardonic his sense of humor is. He doesn't take attendance, and during class it'll be mostly lecture. It's basically a do your work and read your book if you want a good grade.

PLEASE don't take him. you WILL regret it. on my first day of class he said "come to class if you want, I don't f'in care." all the answers to the tests are in the book, not even what he discusses in class. i would rate him a 0 if i could. aweful professor, aweful person in general. don't even bother wasting your time.

I like Miele. Attendance isn't mandatory but I went for the most part. You need to do your homework and test are really tough but they are online so you can get by with the book in front of you which is why he times it that way it's tough. Does do curves on test. He's really nice. I'd take him again.

Dr. Miele is a great professor takes all of his students questions very seriously. Hes very laid back and respectful of students. Very lecture heavy but makes it fun. Curves all test and most of your grade is based on online homework assignments. Would definitely recommend.

Professor Miele was one of the worst professors I've ever had. His classes were boring as he would read straight from the Powerpoint which had NOTHING to do with the tests. All the exams were online and the questions were completely irrelevant to the content which he had talked about in class. Would not recommend him to anyone.

Graduated 2012 and had him for Comparative Psych, Physio, History, Clinical Psychopharm, Theories, and independent research. Tough, but fair. Has high standards for students. Probably the most difficult in the department but his rigor made grad school much easier. Honed my research aptitude which was VERY beneficial for graduate school admissions.

Material from lectures is vaguely present in tests, Book is fairly useful for concepts but it seems that he is picking the most obscure questions to ask about a 5 minute video that we saw in one of the sections. I would rather see him make sure that we have the concepts down of psychology,. Either test after each section , ask broader questions .

Terrible teacher. I would never recommend him to anyone. His powerpoint notes are useless on the tests and most things on the test are stuff that was never taught. Even the textbook is no help. Worst class I have ever taken, learned nothing. He is also very inappropriate which is uncomfortable. He curves most tests since everyone fails them.

In the beginning I thought he was a complete ass, he says the f word very often and makes weird remarks about girls. After you get past that hes a pretty good teacher and is pretty understanding when it comes to grading. bonus all the test are online

I recommend to take the exams with a group of people... They difficulty varies from test to test but if you fail don't worry because there is a huge curve usually, due to most of the class failing. I got 60's on both exams and my grade is still a B, just do the homeworks!

Doesn't tell you need to study the book, tests on too many different things on the same test, and you will fail if you fail the tests because homework weighs nothing.

He is a pretty nice guy i'll give him that, but he can be kinda weird at times. He is very knowledgable in his field, but does a horrible job at explaining material. Your grade for this class will depend on how much you study the book, DO NOT depend on lecture notes. Make sure you have decent understanding of concepts before you come to class.

He is generally a nice guy but he is very boring. In order to pass this class you need to read the book and study extremely hard because in his powerpoints he doesnt cover anything that is on the test. Then doesnt give you study guide or any guidelines to what is on the test. Not a good professor.

This guy is histerical...lecture is kinda boring at times. I reccomend sitting up front so you don't fall asleep, but the occasional college humor joke will wake you up for a few minutes. just study and definitely read the book end of story.

I had him for Intro, History, and Physio. I also did independent research with him. I will be honest, if you do not study, and study well, you will fail. But he grades VERY fairly, and you learn A LOT from him. His lectures go by fast as well because he uses humor in them.

Miele is the man, I only went to four classes, and those were just the exams. I got a b in the course. Kill your article review, and study the chapter review at the end of each chapter that he says are on the exam. then just rely on the massive curve... Good dude

He is a really nice guy when you get to know him. He is a bit stand-offish at first but that is because he has taught the same material to kids that don't care for the last 20 years. If you love psych, take his class and work hard, it is worth it.
