OMG the marking is terrible. I have no idea how the projects are marked. The quiz's are easy if you do with with you friends. Thought this course would be easy and inspirational but it wasnt. Regret. Much Regret.

not clear or helpful, always confused with what he expects from the projects and too many projects. in class lectures had nothing to do with any of the projects. expects a lot and teaches nothing. hard marker, all over the place. good courses but not a very good prof can get an 80 nothing more. I regret taking his class.

Enrolled in the online version of this course but it's run the same as the in-class (right down to the lectures being taped, albeit with a thick Spanish accent). Won't respond to my emails, expects online students to travel onto campus to sign documents, and creates group projects for the in-class/online students together. Frustrating at best!

Juan marking is NOT fair!He gave everyone distorted marks and 4 the online assignment EVERYONE received a 7 or 8 out of 10 whether they did more entries than needed or NONE AT ALL!He is NOT open minded to any answers other than his own. And if u got a good mark its cuz u raised your hand in class otherwise he went hard on u no matter hard u study.

His bonus assignments got me through his class. The class was very discussion based, which is only great if you are comfortable in Spanish. He's a hard marker and his exam was hard but his TA generally does that for him.

Juan Luis is awesome, he knows what he is doing. Those students who hate him are just very dumb and did not receive a good grade, he is FAIR and EQUAL to all his students. He has insprired me even more to SPANISH LIT! :)
