This is my second time taking Judy Hester, the first time I had her she wasn't terrible but not great. For 102 she was awful, she was very rude to students, yelled at one for blowing their nose and another for going to the bathroom. Yes she is very passionate about the course but does not explain anything, students have to figure out everything.

Professor Hester is a very sweet woman and cares very much about child study. Very lecture heavy and gives about 2-3 "quizzes" which feel more like tests, and two papers. She claims that she explains these assignments very well but doesn't and leaves all of her students clueless and confused.

Such a sweetheart. You can hand in your work as late as you want with no deduction or penatly (Cool for procrastinators not cool for good students) Do not take unless you are child study, you will be wasting your time working hard. 2 big papers, 4 large exams, many assignments in-between.

Very nice lady. But if you're looking for an easy class this isn't it. For the quizzes she gives you ALL the material you will need and essay topics. If you put in the work to study what she gives you its an EASY A! Most people complain about her because they are not willing to study what she gives. All the work she gives has NO surprises

Overall, I'd say she's average. Her tests are difficult but not impossible, and she gives you the essay questions beforehand and will let you redo them if you fail. Only thing I don't really like is that she can sometimes be very unclear, but she is always willing to help

I loved her. Her quizzes are long but she gives you the answers for the multiple choice and essays days ahead of time. She does get off topic but it was always interesting to listen to her lectures.

Very nice woman, easy grader, organized, approachable. 2 papers-3 long quizzes-60 MC+3essays-cum. final, she does review before the quizzes, gives you essay questions and you should write down/type/record everything she says during review because it ALL WILL be on the quiz. I learned a lot, I wish Prof. Hester taught more CS classes! def. recommend!

Two papers, need the textbook, reads directly off the test sheet when reviewing. Class is not difficult, but she does enjoy talking about herself way too much. Take it if you want an easy A

Hester is a very nice person however, she does stray off topic quite a bit during lectures. She's not always clear on what she wants, so you are left to figure it out on your own. Projects aren't bad. Tests are very long but not too difficult.

I LOVED HER! She gives you the answers to the tests before and the essay questions. I learned more from the things she said rather than the work. There is a research assignment (she doesn't explain it well but its so easy) and an observation. Easy grader, super sweet, easy A!!

Professor has a lot of experience with children and tells a lot of useful things to do in your classes. Will not let you fail. She basically gives you the test answers before test and she always gives you the essay question a week before. Only bad thing is that her papers are unclear I basically guessed and hoped it was right. Not a hard grader.

Class is difficult but not impossible. She is a VERY educated woman, and she has a lot to offer as a professor. The only hard part about the test is the essays but she gives you the topics a few days before the test and goes over the multiple choice (basically word for word) during review. Take her. If you work hard, you'll get an A.

teacher is very strict and unclear. her quizzes are insanely hard. they are 60 multiple choice questions and 2 longgggggg essays. be aware she tells you can outline your essay and bring it to class and use it on the test but the day of the test she tells you, you cant! her 10 page paper is so unclear and shew doesnt help you at all! DO NOT TAKE!

She is an okay professor. Ultra boring, but it's okay if you want a decent grade. She is an easy grader for the two papers, but when it comes to the 2-3 essays on exams and tests, it's a bit difficult. You really have to know what you are talking about and must read the textbook. Also, go to class! Attendance is the key in her class.

Listen, just finished her class, she is very helpfull. When it comes to the tests, she gives 2-3 essays with them, but she will not let you fail the essays. If they are not to her standard you will be doing them again. But the multiple choice, your on your own. All in all, she is very caring and wants you to pass, take her, you will do fine!

She definatly means well and one you get the hang of her teaching strategies she isn't that bad. I really like professor Hester because she is a single mother who created a good life for her and her children on her own. She truely means well i i think shes very understanding. Not the clearest professor and makes things seem harder than they are.

Oh, please. This woman may have been a hardass, but I thank her for that. Because she set such high standards for us, I'm the only one in my CS-102 who's answering all of the review questions correctly. And I thank Hester for that. She pushes you because you're going to need all of that information in 102 anyway. I'm grateful for her being a tough.

she was a nice woman, but she was very boring. her "quizzes" are like midterms. they're 60 multiple choice and 2 essays and they're insanely difficult. i definitely do not recommend her at all. it is definitely not an easy A if that's what you want.

she is not a great teacher at all if you really want to learn. i had better understanding reading from the text myself because everything comes straight out of the text especially her boring powerpoints. when she tries to explain a paper or test it is very hard to get what she is trying to say. i had to edit a paper 3 times for her to accept it.
