Prepare to get Murch'd! Julian is an awesome professor, really knows his stuff, and is completely dedicated to his field. Don't take any of his classes looking for an easy A, but they're definitely worth the work.

Comment:
Murch is difficult because his assignments are often unclear because his expectations are unclear. If you go to him to toss out ideas or ask for help you'll walk away even more confused. You may get a great grade but he will tear you apart in comments. Smart guy but difficult pro.

He is a good professor, though he says "um" way too much. The readings are interesting and really help you see the world in a new light. Great class!

Excellent professor. The class isn't the easiest, but any problems you have will be your fault, not his. He assigns a lot of reading, but it's manageable.

We read a lot of books in the Intro to Anthropology class, but they are so interesting that amount doesn't matter. This class is the most interesting one I've ever had. I've learned so much and a way to argue.
