Terrible. Her criticisms were far too general to be of any help and included no suggestions for improvement. She was close-minded, unimaginative, inconsistent with what little advice she did give, and didn't seem to care much at all. Even when the students tried to give me advice, she'd stopped them sometimes in mid-sentence and spew out more BS.

I liked the structure of the class, but she is not a good teacher for creative writing... she lacks the CREATIVITY part. I felt very restained in my work during this class, and the readings did not provide much inspiration. The discussions were good, although she tended to do a bit too much talking.

Absolutely awful. Terrible at managing time, especially in workshops, which are also poorly executed in general. Listening to her read aloud will make you want to kill yourself, I honestly think she might be dyslexic. This woman shouldn't even have a job at this university, let alone teach an upper-level course. Avoid at all costs.

Good class to take if you like unprofessionalism and frustrated teachers who assign readings by authors who write like adolescents at best. This woman has never had anything published and probably never will, she isn't even versed in classical literature and clearly spends all her time reading contemporary commentaries about societal ills.
