Dr. McGuire is an absolute amazing professor. She really understands the material she is teaching and she loves it. She also loves the students interacting with her. Each test has multiple choice, short/long answer. Study! The more details you write and understand, the better you will do. She is very helpful and does what she can to help!

Prof. McGuire is fascinating - from the way she dressed to the way she taught. I found myself wanting to know the material. If she spends more than five minutes on something, it will be on the test. I never read the book, the test came from the lectures. The homework is worth a test grade - do it. Same with extra credit.

I loved her class. Go to her lecture and right everything she says. If she repeats something then it will be on the test. You will never have to look at your book. If I had know that ahead of time I won't have bought the book. Also I thought she was very funny.

McGuire knows what she is talking about and provides all the notes you will need on Folio. She does, however, ramble on about information that is not relevant or on the tests/quizzes. Lectures are long but important. Quizzes are hard, but test are easy if you study the notes she gives.

I had her for ARTH2 and Contemp Art. She is a lot easier in ARTH2 But i love her spunky and passionate personality and everything! She is so nice and friendly and wants everyone to do there best even though the class is huge. She is my favorite history teacher at the school and I hope to take her next semester!

Very quirky teacher. Art is definitely her thing. She's very nice though. If you go to class often and listen/take notes you should do fine. There was a painting project involved that I wasn't prepared for though...and 1 essay.

McGuire's one of those rare professors who genuinly loves what she's doing. Very knowledgible and helpful, offers so much extra credit its riciculous! Tests are pretty easy but definitely study. Animated, vivacious, and completely hysterical, she was the reason I came to class and reminded me of why I wanted to become a teacher in the first place.

I LOVE Dr. McGuire! She's not the easiest professor but as long as you go to class and take notes, you'll be okay for the exams. She will go out of her way to help her students. I definitely recommend her for any class you can take with her.

Dr. Julie McGuire is an amazing professor and even in the morning will keep you interested. I recomend taking her class if possibly. Her outfits and style is as quirky and interesting as her personality. She keeps class interesting. Go to class and take notes on the lectures and you will enjoy this class.

Yea, it's a lecture course, but you go into it knowing that. I really liked that we rarely used the book and relied more on her lectures. Her tests were accurate and easy as long as you paid attentio

She just showed a lot of overhead pictures and lectured. It was very hard not to fall asleep. The tests were ok. Not the easiest especially since the class is a 1000 level entry class.
