Comment:

Very fast paced and little help to those struggling. Tests are of the highest possible difficulty while grading on an extreme level. Very picky even on homework and will dock you points for spacing between problems or drawing a box around your answer. Nice lady but would never take a class from her or advise anybody to take her class.

Going in, I didn't know what to expect. The reviews were horrible. After having sat through her course, I realize the bad reviews are more than likely coming from students not willing to put in the effort. It's the typical high school mentality that won't make it through... Bottom line, Wen is an awesome professor, but you need to meet her halfway

She is the best math teacher i have ever had. She's brilliant and very straightforward, on the first day she told us to drop out now if we weren't focused . She allows for questions and many homework problems were in the test. Get a good calculator. Tests are challenging but she gives partial credit and gives you extra credit for perfect attendance

Ms. Wen was one of the best math teachers I've ever had. Yes, she is strict and expects you to be organized but she loves what she does and has a great sense of humor. I took summer 4 week class which was very intense but possible for people who are already decent in math. Lots of homework!

Ms Wen is a good math teacher . Strict,Friendly,Objective,Logical,Passionate. Her lecture's move fast and don't bore you . Homework is graded , she wants it organized . She gives study guides ( practice exam with answers on back ) before her tests that closely follow whats going to be on the actual test ( not multiple choice ) .

Her accent isn't that big of an issue. It's her tests that make this class difficult. I felt like they were always 10 times harder than the review. Homework is due before the test, and she does check each assignment. Final is optional. For ours, only like 5 people showed up and only because the final would determine if they passedfailed.

Nice and very smart, unfortunately not a good teacher. I didn't believe the bad reviews on her till I took her class and discovered the hard way that they were true. (I was a straight A student by the way)

She is not easy she will make you work for it. Yes she will not give extra credit or a way to build your grade but that just means you have to do the work and study extra hard. I really never understood what she taught in class kinda taught my self all the way. but she is extremely funny and understanding she really wants you to do good.

For people saying that she cares for her students they must have been favorites. I did not miss one day of class this semester and had a difficult time keeping up with her speed and teaching. She doesn't offer any way to help build your grade up. Out of almost 50 students there is 12 left and half are failing. Worst teacher ever!

she does have accents like other Asian teachers, but since it's math you'll figure out soon. give very detailed study guides and extra credits quite often. the final is optional. highly recommend her for any math classes!

Couldn't understand half of what she was saying and it wasn't just her accent. She refused to answer the classes questions when we asked her just how she got her answers that were very long winded to begin with. She belittled students, threw stuff at them all the time. Her grading on tests is completely biased. DO NOT TAKE HER.

Julie is very helpful. She made herself available to assist anyone. She gave students her office hours and set aside times to help everyone before the tests. She was very strict on the grading of the tests though. Overall she was very good.

she is ADORABLE! sooo CUTE!:) she does talk fast though and she's one of those teachers that say "ask me if you need help" and then if you ask her she'll be like "O.o you didn't know that?! how could you?!" lol but she is an amazing teacher :) makes me laugh everyday
