she was not helpful at all and did not actually teach anything. She seems to think creative writing is a gift that some people already have. If you do she will love you and you'll do well. If you want to learn new skills and improve then there is no point in taking her course.

If you care about succeeding at all, you will do well in her class. Her lectures can be a little bit monotonous, but pay attention and you definitely will learn something. the only reasons that you would ever take a class with J brown is if you either never looked at her rating, or hate yourself. she just sucks ass. she is not funny, and just goes on and on. do not try to enter into to english with this prof. as you will suffer deeply.she is not hard just a whole in your head is not hard. its empty.

to be honest, the first couple of days were disastrous- she was cold,kind of weird and her voice was just awful. but now i think she is okay: she is a fair marker and steeped herself in movies very much. oh and her reading choice is excellent! in the class, she does things that are kind of out of character, which is amusing :D

she doesn't have good attitude as a teacher. she pretends to be nice to *certain students, but she is actually NOT friendly at all. Also, she doesn't provide enough feed back on essays, and her marking is tooooo slow, so you won't get back essays back never never on time!! You can't know your so-far mark even before the final!!

Justine is hilarious. highly recommended for eng 1130. she loves to make you laugh, recite sonnets for a bonus 2%, and she's got the funniest films for the class to top it. her class revolves around lots of group discussion and a laid back attitude. she doesn't mark everything herself, but overall the marks are fair. take her and enjoy english.
