Comment:

Biggest issue was the communication barrier. It wasn't even the accent, it was the fact that he was constantly sidetracked and often got flustered if a question was asked. Tests are curved so it's a fairly easy A, but if you actually need to learn physics, take the class from a different professor.

This was the most frustrating class I have ever taken. The hard part wasn't learning physics, it was trying to communicate with him. I did not learn one thing about physics and he never does anything that he says he will do. He is just a very confusing teacher.

This was the most awful class I've ever taken. Dr. Mani is so sweet, but he is NOT skilled as a teacher at all. He gets very confused extremely easily and is inconsistent with grading. His class was super simple, but he was very frustrating.

Dr. Mani is the nicest guy, and this is probably the easiest A you will ever get. But this class is mind-numbingly boring. You will learn how to calculate slope at least 50-60 times. Dr. Mani has good intentions, but it can be difficult to communicate with him as his English is sub-par.

What can I say, he's Dr. Mani. Very easy to get an A in this class. Only gives 3 Exams and a Final. One of the exams is take-home. You probably won't learn anything in his lecture and he points that out to you on the first day. Be prepared for countless hours of mastering physics.

He is very nice, but do not take his class if you actually need to learn physics. It moved so slowly and he repeated himself often. There was a communication barrier between the Dr. Mani and the class that led to a lot of wasted time. He also tried to make physics simpler, but actually managed to complicate it more. It's easy to get an A though.

Avoid taking him at all costs! I would read the chapter before class and when I got there and he started to lecture I had no idea what he was talking about and it through off everything I thought that I knew about it. He's not terrible to get along with the class is just a waste of time and money and attendance is mandatory.

Dr. Mani is a horrible teacher! He doesn't really answer questions and isn't very clear on anything. Pretty much the class is a waste of time and money because you won't learn ANYTHING. I wouldn't take Dr. Mani if you can help it!

Honestly... ridiculous. The first 3 tests were group/open book, so the final was basically your grade. I called after finals as I thought I had done well, and Mani admitted to me that 9/20 people were not happy with their grades. He told one student that she really deserved a C. He was also horrible at 1 on 1 tutoring. Don't do it...!

I was nervous at first but he was extremely funny! I enjoyed the class. He grades really easy. The tests are hard but it is hard not to make an A in this class. The book is hardly used! Overall I really enjoyed the class and Dr. Mani as a teacher!

Dr. Mani is a great guy and obviously loves his job. Class is boring & long! He is a funny guy...anytime you start to feel bored just think of him pole vaulting he was the champ in the eastern province of Shri Lanka. He's really bad with names & accent is hard to follow at first but you catch on tests are confusing but he is always willing to help

Dr. Mani is a really nice guy and it's obvious he loves what he does...However, he gets off track a LOT, his directions are often unclear, and most of the time you spend the whole class period discussing 1 particular thing. He is really lenient on tests, and as long as you actually show up to class and participate, you WILL make a good grade!
