Comment:

It is a difficult class no matter who you take. He is no joke, Kang will through a lot of trig and misc. algebra at you. You either love him or hate him. He creates a casual environment and actually gets the class talking/thinking through his lectures. His HW and lectures are to the point. You really only have to pass 1 of 3 test & final to get a C

Comment:

People blast him because his tests are hard but if you attend and do the work, you will do fine. One of the few teachers that cares about his students and will help you during office hours.Also a great teacher who repeats important concepts so you know they will be on the exam. Good teacher, wonderful person.

much easier than freedman - explains things better and moves slower. Our final was optional and take home - got a B+ in the class. the material itself is difficult but he does a pretty good job of teaching it. accent can be a little hard to understand but not impossible.

This class was difficult. He is very disorganized, and he repeats himself every single class. Half the class withdrew before the final. I passed simply because I studied by myself, if I had just depended on what I had 'learned' in class I would have failed.

I had him for 302 and 303 and consider myself fortunate. He threw a few curveballs in 303. In the tax chapter, know temp and permanent differences. In the test on leases and pensions, know leases! Otherwise, he is clear and certainly cares.

Class isn't easy, it takes some studying. Dr Keng bends over backwards to help you understand. 3 Tests, grades some assn's and HW's. Curves and helps if effort is shown. If you go to class and keep up you'll be okay.

He may say "two panel same sing" but you can tell what he meant. Understanding his accent isn't really a problem. Two tests & a final, 25%, 30%, and 35% of grade respectfully. 5% is a homework assignment & 5% is participation/In-class activities. Great teacher overall you'll be chanllenged to learn.

I wish he was teaching ACCT 202. I miss him sooo much. I would take him immediately. Sometimes it's hard to understand him, but he tries VERY hard and cares about you. BEST FOR 201!

I have a hard time understanding accents. I couldn't understand a word this guy was saying. He uses charts to explain every problem, confusing ones. I've taken accounting before and got an A, I took him and got a D+. He's very boring too.

He explains thing very clearly. However, he did not care you get it or not. The exams are hard, you have to study CPA Exam, but all exam have extra credits, and he drop your lowest grade. He is much better than the other guy anyway.

He does a great job of explaining everything and is more than willing to help you as long as you come for help in the times he specifies. Tests are a bit tough, but there's only one hw assignment. As long as you know your stuff you'll be fine.

For such a terrible subject, Cheng does a superb job of making simple to understand. He doesn't use PowerPoint like most accounting teachers, but actually writes things on the board, which makes it much easier to take notes. Tests are tough, but if you study and do problems, you'll do fine.
