a little nutty, but a fun professor. for a 300-level course, there wasn't as much writing as i expected/hoped. would have liked more weekly assignments for better feedback b/c i didn't really feel like i got the comments from her/the class that i wanted for it being a different genre than i'm used to writing in. overall was fun but less instructive

She’s a really nice teacher and clearly wants everyone to get a good grade. She's a little off her rocker sometimes though. But it will make you laugh and make the class more fun. I had her class for 1hr and 20 minutes. but every single day she cut it short to 1 hour. The only bad part is she makes you read at least one of your papers out lou

honestly.. shes kinda crazy. but its in a funny way. she tends to ramble off onto weird topics that have nothing to do with what youre learning.. but you cant help but just to laugh at her bc shes so out of the loop sometimes. but shes really nice and she goes easy on you most of the time. she tries to get everyone to get an A.

Take professor blomain for english comp. She is super easy. You can write the paper the night before and pull out a B+ he grading is easy and she tells you everything tha you can do to get an A. She tries her best to get you an A in the class, and she is always willing to help. Ya she's a little loopy but it keeps you awake :) and little homework.

i had for an online course that met five times,and it basically was pointless.she was so scatterbrained about assignments, didn't always respond to emails and homework, and wasn't very nice during workshops.she gave me no constructive criticism on a story,even gave me compliments, then gave me a B.i'd advise to take someone else.

she tends to talk a lot. after a certain point, you're not sure about WHAT. could have used a little more feedback on my work. did a decent amount of writing, but she kind of assumed we'd just know what to do. look out for the 5 1000 word stories in a WEEK at the end! she has the class comment on most of your work, so you learn more that way.

Karen rocks. I agree with a previously posted comment: Professor Blomain isn't going to provide A's to students that do not progress in the field of writing. She does the job properly, maintaining healthy relationships with all of her students. Take her if you feel like being moved for 15 weeks.

I can't say I learned too much from the class, but it did expose me to a lot of great writing. She is a very cool person and made me think about writing in a different way. She is still very helpful to me to this day. Very good teacher!
