Dr. Nolan does not explain what relevance her assignments have and it is not evident even after completing the assignments. There is too much work to be completed and there is no connection to practice. Even the Reading Specialist at my school cannot connect reality to the ridiculously tedious assignments for this class.

A lot of work but very helpful. I felt more prepared for teaching through this class than any other class I have taken at WCU. Dr. Nolan will do anything to help you prepare for your future. So sweet too!!

Be prepared to work..and do lots of it. You will learn from this class, though. Dr Nolan is very knowledgable and quite helpful. But the fact that you have a full time job is irrelevant here. In fact you'll use that job as part of the class work.

Dr. Nolan is an incredible lady that really knows her stuff. You really learn a lot and get a lot out of her class. However, be prepared to do work and lot's of it. She lets you redo things as many times as you want until you get a good grade. A little vague on instructions. But awesome teacher

Dr. Nolan is hard, but she is a very nice teacher and helpful. I thought I was going to fail her class and I ended up getting a B+. She is hard and will make you work, but you will definitely learn alot! I'm glad I had her because lang arts is easy now cuz of everything I learned from Dr. Nolan

Dr. N. is the greatest!! Her ultimate goal is to make excellent teachers. Whoever complains about Dr. N. after taking her class is simply a little bitter about his/her grade. As long as you do your part and communicate with her you'll do fine!!

VERY nice lady. Grades too hard and is picky about everything. She has to realize that pre-service teachers don't all do things the same and nit-picking about every detail won't make us better teachers. Also gives too much "busy-work."

Sometimes you have to ask her a question several times to get a clear answer, but she is a great professor. Her assignments are easy, and she tells you what to expect on her tests. She knows what she is talking about! I enjoyed her class.
