Had Karen last semester. She was fantastic! It is impossible to be bored in her lectures- she finds a way to make them interesting. To achieve a high grade you have to put in the work, but it inevitably pays off in the end.

Took the spring condensed restorative justice with Karen. She's a great prof!! Very personable, really took the time to get to know every ones names. She is also very understanding when it comes to any disabilities you may have. The class itself was incredibly easy, but the pre-reading was excessive and the class pretty much focuses on the reading.

WOW! What an amazing Prof! She really cares about students as human beings. Classes are intriguing and fun, it feels like the time flies by. Here criteria is clear and marking is generous. The only draw back is that there are a lot of readings. But absolutely have her as a prof if you possibly can.

Karen is hands down one of the best prof/instructors I've had at UofW. She's understanding caring, and very willing to help students outside of class, whether it's related to her class, or something else. She takes time to get to know her students and is very lenient with extensions, no questions asked. I would take a class with her again!!! :)

Took Restorative Justice with Karen and loved both her and the class. She gave a lot of work but was always willing to give extensions and work with students. However because of the work load I would not necessarily recommend the course to people not majoring or minoring in conflict resolution studies.

Karen is by far my favourite professor at U of W. Although her class may seem unconventional, her teaching helps students of all different learning styles get the most out of her course. She gets the entire class involved and most lectures are discussion based and incorporate personal stories which truly enhance learning. Would Recommend. :)
