Attendance and participation are mandatory. No way around it. You must listen to her lectures which are mostly pointless, but sometimes have a nugget in them. You must be very polite. Do NOT bruise her ego, even accidentally.

At first, I thought Rowe just had some dry humor but it soon got old. She is an extremely difficult, childish character who lacks social skills and respect towards others. She does not care for her students and does not make exceptions (no matter how small). She follows her syllabus religously, has little to no lectures and speaks nonsense. SKKRT!

Mrs. Rowe's class was great for me as a Communications Major! The life stories that people have mentioned do come up often but she ties lessons to those stories-something people have neglected to mention. In order to pass speak up in class every day, read her syllabus carefully, stay on top of the reading and show her respect; you'll be golden!

This teacher is terrible ,she doesnt know thats going on in your life but regardless she likes to makes your life as hard as she can. I tried to give her class another chance and she was just too rude and unthoughtful. Shed rather watch you fail then make a small excepción for you to pass.

Oh god. Ms Rowe is all over the place. I will say though that as long as you participate and do the work you should be fine. Would I take her again? Yes, her craziness adds a good laugh to my day.

She wasn't very considerate. As an international student who has to pay a lot more for classes, having to take a lot of classes per semester to transfer within a certain amount of years, she never helped me out to achieve a 'C' grade. I was about a percentage short of a C grade and still gives a 'D'. I worked hard but she never returned the favour.

All public speaking classes are a lot of work and using skills that most don't have or are scared to practice. Tried to take this class many times at different colleges. Thought it was rude when she stopped one in the middle of the speech and she was harsh sometimes, but I am a more organized thinker and confident speaker after taking her class.

Rowe is kinda all over the place, but she warns you about that. (Have you *seen* her office?) I didn't think I would get along with her at the beginning but I did. Her class is easy if you follow the directions well and use the proper outline format. We did a lot of speechs and a few needed extensive research.

Took her for COMS 20 and shes not that bad. She does not beat around the bush and will call you out if your lazy, procrastinate , and Most of all if you DONT FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. I got an A in her class which consists of 4 speeches, and Two exams. This class was easy but not for the tender hearted. You will pass if you do all assignments and show up.

Beware! This professor doesn't lecture about the subject. If all of the tests were about her life, then everyone would probably get an A. If you guys have no choice but to take professor Rowe then I suggest that you guys should memorize the syllabus Because she won't answer any questions.

She was horrible. I went to school to explain to her that I had a pre-surgery mandatory appointment and she yelled at me in front of the entire class. Never once said "good job" or even looked me in the eye. I had to drop her class. She is THE WIRST professor ever. If you're at EVC, take Carrion!

She can be extremely rude, and made me feel uncomfortable on several occasions with her superior-than-thou attitude. All she ever did in class was talk about her life stories. One day in class she literally said," oops we didn't have time to talk about the lecture" with five minutes left of the class. Seriously lady ??

So she isn't as bad as some of these reviews say, but she isn't that good either. It is very weird that she teachers communications given that her communication is among the worst I've had from a teacher. She doesn't have a PHD but she make you refer to her as a Professor. She goes on and on about her own life and seems really snappish and judgie.

She's really mean for the first few months of the semester, but if you stay in the class, smile, and agree with all of her blunt opinions then she can be okay. I would never ever ever take her again. Her lectures are only about her life stories. You have to read the book and teach yourself basically.
