Only offers quizzes which are 30 points a piece, if you get one bad quiz score your grade will most likely suffer. Lectures are just her reading off her notes and students writing down what she said. Tough course but she does share many personal stories.

Comment:

Mrs.Walker was extremely rude, a very hard grader, and bad teacher. Every day we would listen to her lecture and write down notes. She "taught" the class like everyone was going into OT which was not the case. It made me feel like why is this class even required for me. We didn't look at our book once. I hated every single day of that class.

Was not a very good teacher. Read through her notes every single day. Rude to others and found ways to mark you down. Plus she took her attendance very seriously, like it was high school.

Mrs. Walker spent the whole class time reading from her notes so the students can take notes. She didn't "teach" us, if she just copied her notes and gave to all the students could have saved 3 hours per week on that class. Very monotone voice and difficult to understand the purpose of the material she was reading and how it related to occupations.

Professor is very disorganized with lectures and notes. Lets Mrs. Anderson take control and does not stick up for students. sweet lady, but not a good teacher due to lack of clarity and tripping over words when lecturing.

It's almost like Mr.A and Mrs.W are on some kind of witch hunt. They pick on certain students and they discourage them instead of trying to help them. Luckily for me I have stayed out of their radar.Mrs. W is so disorganized with her lectures and doesn't like when you start to ask to many questions.I can't stand these proffessor's.

For being the director of the program she sure doesn't act like it. for one thing she lets Monica Anderson call the shots. Karen needs to stand up for her students and not go along with Anderson unless that is she is intimindated by her. I think this would make many students happy and there would be a higher success rate.

She is a little unorganized but as long as you attend class and participate you can make it! She provides interesting labs and information but her exams are hard. She is a friendly person and willing to help a student if they show professionalism as well as responsibility. Stay on track and you'll be fine!

Notetaking is frustrating due to instructor's inability to pass on her knowledge in an organized, concise manner (lectures tend to be "all over the place"). Tries to be helpful. Shows favoritism. Friendly and funny.

(GH 120, Fall 08) she has lots of good stories to share and fun activities to do but shows favorites in class and in grading and her notes and lectures are all over the place and sometimes hard to follow...i recommend staying on her good side by coming to class everyday and talking alot in class discussion and you'll do fine.
