Comment:

Nice guy who seems to care about what he's teaching. He posts cute math cartoons at the beginning of each class which is amusing. His lectures are fairly clear, however the examples he does in class are pretty basic compared to what's on his exams. Lots of online assignments which are tedious but an easy grade booster.

Had him for Math 1000. Amazing prof. He's such a nice goofy prof that makes corny math jokes. Never found lectures boring, made me like calculus even more. Explains things really well, easy midtermsexams. Wouldn't mind having him again!

A little unclear in his lectures, and his exam review classes were no help whatsoever. He taught through examples, so the lectures were spent copying down one example after another. If you did need help though, he was there for you. Even so, if I had to take the class again, I would do it with Noble. He's recommended by everyone for good reason.

Nice explanation. but you have to understand that he only teaches the basic and you can learn the advanced from the assignments. I can say that 90% of the quizzes are from the assignment.

AMAZING!! Dilcher is one of the most personal and approachable teachers i've ever had. I was in the chase building the year after i took his course, and HE stopped ME and asked how i was doing. Just a great guy and very good professor. his class is hard, but he makes it enjoyable to attend with his witty comments, math comics and mathematical puns

Extremely frustrating course. teaches the basics but expects advanced extensions of these on the assignments. He hands out the class notes at the beginning of class and then writes them out on the board making for a boring class. availiable for extra help but confusing and unclear. still a very nice guy though.
